Serbia & Montenegros coach, Ilija Petkovics son, has decided to leave the team after talking stuff through.

The main reason why he's leaving is probably the pressure that Dusan Petkovic was given after he's father announced that he would be the replacement to injured Lecce-striker, Mirko Vucinic.

Dusan plays for OFK Belgrade in the Serbian League and many experts including the former president of FSSCG/former star, Dragan "Piksi" Stojkovic said that this was an disasterous decision, to bring in his own son and let out Aleksandar Lukovic who was left out with a very small margin earlier when Ilija Petkovic took out his official team.

I wonder if he's going to replace his son now, because I'm one of those who really wants a fresh and talented player to get the chance, Milos Krasic perhaps?

Best dutch soccer moment ever

2morrow (well today if in europe)they decide if Van der Vaart will be able to be part of the dutch squad.I wont be too confident of the Dutch chances as be4 if he wont play.

Posted by eieregooie on Jun-07-2006 03:29:

well if he doesn't make it there's plenty of great substitutions for him... for example from the Under 21 team which just won the Euro Cup

I'm not too concerned myself

A couple of days left now and I'm feeling the WC!

Posted by The_G0dfather on Jun-07-2006 19:37:

within 4 years, i'm gonna make sure i'm not studying anymore and that i'm without a job

Posted by noikeee on Jun-07-2006 19:45:

i'm so annoyed. i can't get used to the idea i'm probably going to miss almost half the games live.

it's not anywhere as fun if you can't watch it live!

if i could find some highly-illegal video streams it'd be a great option but still considering the recent internet speed at my uni, it'd be of no use. it seriously alternates between 20KB/s and 1KB/s

Fuck everything during the World Cup mate.

Not worth doing anything during it, and it kills me to see people go to school during the World Cup.

Posted by noikeee on Jun-07-2006 20:06:

it's an investment for the future. so i can peacefully watch world cups 2010 and 2014 without having to worry about that shit

who am i kidding

Posted by zoric on Jun-07-2006 20:31:

Haha, That really sucks Paranoik :<

lollol
I feel for ya mate, when will you be 'free' to start watching everything ?
I'm finished 21 june so i'll get the chance to still watch some group matches too (Holland - Argentina e.g. ). Still missing too much though, i love watching all those group stage matches with new teams, surprises and simply a whole lot of football constantly.

Still can't get over the fact that Van Basten didn't bring Seedoorf or Davids These two players might be a little out of form but have experience in world cup games, they might add a little spice to the team especially Davids. This dutch team won't be the same as it was

Posted by zoric on Jun-08-2006 15:36:

We'll see how they manage to play..

Oh no, please, no Seedorf

Apparently he has ego issues as well.

Seedorf was always hit or miss to me. I agree, showed highlight reel capability especially at club level. But not so well for country.
Davids was never dissapointing for any team he was on. Always getting to or around the ball in defending the midfield.

Argentina 2-2 Ivory Coast (let's hope )
Serbia & Montenegro 0-2 Netherlands
