Then i love your ass.

Bt doesnt suck. You DO!!!!! Just because you dont like his music doesnt mean its crap. I can say the same thing about your favorite music,.. and you wouldnt like it.

Your commentary is crap on the other hand. Very Much.

So do yourself a favor and shoot yourself.

Coolies.

BT still sucks though!!!!!Ok, maybe he is not so bad, but in general terms he is...and he is definitely not a f*cking pioneer by any means...cheesy cheap cu-base production with a bunch of vocalists thrown in just to bring the money. The only good album i can think of is "Ima" and that was mediocre compared to other 90s EDM/IDM/Proggy/Electronica giants like Bola,Aphex Twin and Global Communications. On the other hand, i dare you pick one name of my suggestions and state that it really sucks.

Klaus Schulze

Vangelis

Jean Michel Jarre

John Cage

Steve Roach

Terry Riley

Brian Eno

Neu!

Kraftwerk

Giorgio Moroder

Gary Numan

Cabaret Voltaire/Richard H.Kirk

Front-242

The Orb

The Black Dog

Aphex Twin (Richard D. James)

Autechre

Orbital

Boards of Canada

Derrick May

Carl Craig

Juan Atkins/Model-500

Dude!!!! are you serious? how dare you say he produces on cubase? man........ Hes all about complicated productions and he uses ProTools and Logic by the way.

On the other hand, i wont say any of your artists suck, because i respect other people's choices and i dont insult.

I will just not go down to your level. I like some of the ones you like, but i dont like many like Orbital, Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre and Kraftwerk.

Cheers. (And i really dont wanna fight or anything, i just want people to understand that no music is bad, it all depends on people's choice). Now, when music is mediocre, then thats a different story.

You seem like you dont honor the effort and how BT sings, plays guitar and piano, writes code for sound design, engineers, remixes, scores movies, started his own software company, and is a huge innovator. Bt by far, does the most.. and still rocks a 4 month tour and is going to put out 2 artist records and a movie score.

There you go, THANK YOU.

BT is the greatest EDM producer ever.

most of his tracks were way ahead of their time.

James holden makes better music than Bt on fucking freeware.
Bt is good for car commercials, sountracks and stuff like that.
You know ...commercial stuff!

Jarre, Kraftwerk, G.Moroder. I think those guys have the roots for most of the EDM we know today.

still no answer to my question of Laurent Garnier should be in the list .... i dont know the guy, nor his music/mixes, but seen his discography .. anybody can tell me if he's EDM-influental?

Posted by basvh on Jun-04-2006 14:05:

yes he did, 1988, Wee Papa Girl Rappers. He took away most of the music and used the original vocals to create something different.

Futhermore his Reese Project, E-Dancer and Inner city are containing sounds and patterns that are still used today.

The first remix, or one of the first, was made in 1981.

you are probally talking about some Coldcut things, but that were more re-edits then really re-mixes. That first remix of saunderson is the blueprint of todays remixes and so you can say he created the first ever remix.

I'm not talking about Coldcut.
