LuNaSea, just curious, are you ethnically Italian?
Or you're an American who just happens to like soccer?

I trust Bruce Arena, he's smart, he has used the press to the put pressure on his team, The Italians will always fall back into that defesive, we already have 3 points mode, while the Americans will look for the kill Alot of you guys are threatened by the USA becoming a powerhouse in a sport the country could care less about, I notice |
the americans do need points but i dont think the italians will just play casually cuz they've already got 3 points-- who wants to share 1st place? no one.
parents came here in the 70s, dad and i watch all the time..
GO SPAIN!!!!!!!!
^ they are one of the favorites to win this year. we'll see how far they go.
good GOD!!!!!!! 6-0 win for Argentina (vs Serbia-Montenegro)
i feel so bad for those poor bastards, they handed that victory to the argentines on a fucking platters... worst game of the tourney, best display of argentina's talent of course.
my mom told me this morning she was listening to 95.5 PLJ and they were totally dissing soccer as a sport, because all the players do is run around and play kickball on the field for a goal that only amounts up to 1 point...he added that it's so boring that it lasts 90 minutes too.
wtf, this is why i hate american sports mentality-- if they goals in soccer were worth 10 points each, then every fucking american would watch the damn game. oh and like baseball is SO full of action, it lasts like 55 hours per game and all you see is a bunch of fat guys chewing/spitting tobacco and running their asses a couple of feet to bases.... for 1 point per run. whatever. no offense to you baseball people, i know i just went overboard but it just annoyed me that that guy said that soccer, a constant action sport, can be boring, with no logical base.

Yeah it's a tired argument for me though. I like both baseball and soccer. Both have lots of action if you know the sports. It's not just about scoring, it's all the action leading up to it. Soccer is constant movement. For the big American sports, probably basketball is closest to that.
Baseball is a game of multiple strategies and execution that the average observer wouldn't know. Just like soccer. It's just not a widely accepted sport here in the U.S. It's just the way it is. It's growing to some degree but still slowly. I actually used to hate soccer until about 4 years ago. It took me living in another country where they were obsessed with it and being forced to watch the games by my then girlfriend. It took about 20 matches before I suddenly realized it was pretty awesome. Now I can't get enough.

Both sides just have this "Our way is better than yours mentality" and are too brainwashed to make up their own minds. Some dude called hockey stupid the other day, because the puck's too small and it's boring unless their a fight. Or the argument about how American football is for pussies because they wear pads. |
Argentina Killed Serbia and Montenegro 6 - 0

ghana laid an ass whooping on the Czechs...score of 2-0 doesn't tell the real story of the game...
good god... this is the ITALIA i hate.... theyre diving, they have no chemistry, their passing is horrible, theyre the exact opposite of last game... as far as USA, they need to get their shit together with their passing, they give the ball away too often, and this red card to Mastroeni was TOTALLY unneccesary, and im really pissed about it...
Ghana keeps USA's hope alive
and USA gets a draw with Italy, despite having just 9 men for most of the 2nd half
what a tough battle that was, so proud to see USA pull this tie out!Even after all the stuff that went against us . Italy should be ashamed of this performance, and let it out on Czech Republic
and if USA beats Ghana (doable) then USA to the next round haha.
USA is going to lose vs Ghanda, I hope. just because I want an african team to advance, hell yeah!
Btw, Ghanda is the coolest team because that guy pulled out the Israeli flag!!! (He plays for Tel Aviv).
Honestly though I prefer Argentina to win the cup so Diego can go insane!! Plus they have an amazing team! messi tevez crespo saviola sorin shit man THEY ARE BANGING!!!!
