Savo Milosevic, Predrag Djordjevic and Mladen Krstajic is leaving the national team after the against Ivory Coast on the 21st of June. The same goes with Ilija Petkovic, who's said that the 0-6 loss was to much for him.

But don't worry, we've got some young upcoming players and the squad will be a lot younger and better in the future.

damn man...thats an upset. I could care less about Milosevic and Petkovic. a shit captain and a shit coach. but too bad about Djordjevic and Krstajic. they were class players.

my uncle was over today and I over-heard him saying something about Koroman and another player not wanting to play the next match and leaving germany or something like that...can you clarify?

Predrag Djordjevic is a great player, but he's old and should be retiring after this World Cup, so I definetly understand his decision. Mladen Krstajic was shit against Argentina and played very bad, the thing is that I've never seen him this bad and it really hurted. But he's also old (32 years old) and now quits the National Team to give other players the chance.

I think this is a good decison by Krstajic and Djordjevic, they're both very old and have done pretty much for our National Team during this qualifier. I'm pretty sure that two of our best players in the U-21 team will get the chance, so look out for Milan Stepanov (Crvena Zvezda) who was voted into the Dream Team of UEFA's Euro U-21 tournament. He should be great together with Nemanja until he's back and fit for fight. Milo Krasić is a future prospect for us, and he's probably ready to start playing for the NT in the Euro qualifier.

Petkovic fucked up in the first game, and what can you do? Nothing, just move on with a new coach. But he was good in the qualifiers, this reminds of Poland in 2002 when they fucked up, but life goes on mate. Savo scored a lot goals and played 100 times for our NT, I still want to thank him for that.

Your uncle was right:

quote:
17/06/2006 | Izvor: B92, Beta
Keman i Koroman napustili ekipu

Both suspended, will miss the last game so they decided to leave the NT during last game of the WC.

I think Kezman may have fucked up his career totally now, Just look at this post that someone posted on another forum about his career mate:

quote:
We'll see about Koroman... but for Kezman, this is the FINAL STRAW!

Kezman has no redeeming qualities. No shots, no passes, no crosses, no runs.. nothing. Not this tournament, not ever. The man can barely trap the ball - most times it just bounces off him and to the nearest defender. + he is a hothead. His career is founded upon being at the right place at the right time. Now there is nothing wrong with being at the right place at the right time... but when that is the ONLY thing you have going for you (ie, you have no technique whatsoever).. well.. then you are a poor player. This is football and if you're a professional you should be able to kick the ball, head the ball, pass the ball and so on...

45 international games, 16 goals

4 v Lithuania
3 v Faroe Islands
2 v Luxembourg
1 v China
1 v Northern Ireland
1 v Tunisia
1 v Mexico
1 v Belgium
1 v Spain
1 v Bosnia

Conclusion:
4 important goals in 45 games. 3 of those 4 against Lithuania and Bosnia. The 4th (against Spain) hardly earnt. Not to say the other goals are worthless, but lets be honest.. Luxembourg, Faroes.. whoever starts against these teams usually gets a double (even Savo! p). This kind of output is mediocre AT BEST. Bring on the real strikers please!

This is indeed proof of what Kezman has done so far, and I have to agree after this World Cup. Sorry for being stubborn about him, but this is the naked truth.

The one that understands this, will laugh the hell out of himself

Once again Serbs are morons, but you can't blame them for their sense of humour though

Posted by RapidFire on Jun-18-2006 12:04:

LOL thats got serbian written all over it. and I agree about Kezman...what a putz. desreves what he gets. thank god there are still great young players coming out of the woodwork. I hope Basta will be making the team in 2010. and of course Zigic, who I say was completely ignored by Petkovic, has great potential. I've got hope for the future, and the best of luck to Djordjevic. hes made quite a legacy for himself in greece and he proved himself in this world cup. he ranks up there with piksi and mijatovic for me in terms of what hes done for the international team.

I also feel that Zigic was completely ignored by Petkovic, after this season and it has been a fatastic one for sure. I hope he gets the chance to play in a bigger club, hope he gets the chance to play in the last game and Basta to, I love that guy!

But as I'm saying, We've got hope for the future and some of the Montenegro born players has said they will play for us, Vucinic is one of them

The future looks bright and we're on a fresh start against Czech Republic on 16/08/06.

Also, from what I've heard, our shirts will be changed to red and we will be called Crveni or something like that

Big thanks to Djordjevic for his time in NT

Posted by RapidFire on Jun-18-2006 12:12:

hehe crveni...I like it. feels like we're starting over. new talent, new country, sounds awesome.

Posted by zoric on Jun-18-2006 12:15:

I think that's the case with the shirts, probably..

Yes, We're starting over. This time for real to, not like last time

Will be nice to follow them to, and I'm hoping for a couple of changes in the NT.

Posted by RapidFire on Jun-18-2006 12:18:

you think kezman will be back after the emberassment he's caused us?

It's very hard to say and depends on who the manager will be, he did score some important goals during the qualifier even though it wasn't any good teams besides Spain.

He's had a tough year in Atltico de Madrid to, and will probably be sold to another team. I don't know yet, but I think that's the case at Atltico.

I think he will be at the NT even though he's fucked up this time, but that will be his last chance, his very very last chance, and if he fucks up then he's gone forever and will be remembered as an idiot. he will probably be on the bench, and hopefully then if he's left.

There are more interesting discussions about who will be Serbia's new coach, people are talking about Ratomir Dujkovic who leads Ghana and that could be a excellent choice because look what he did to Ghana! He took them to their first World Cup, won Africas first 3 points in this World Cup against the Czech's and he also won over Ghana when he was leading Rwanda a couple of years back, they qualified to the ACN. A little of a magician for sure, and great coach. Dujkovic said that it would be a honour to coach Serbia.

Although, our FA is talking about bringing in a new coach, a foreign one! That would be awesome indeed. So, hopefully we'll get a good coach til' the Euro 2008 qualifiers.

Posted by RapidFire on Jun-18-2006 12:38:

good stuff man! I was very impressed by Djukovic's performance at this world cup and it would be hella cool if he coached us. but a foreign coach sounds tempting aswell. I suppose time will tell. in the meantime I hope we do something with our clubs. Zvezda has the potential, all they need is a little push. id love it if we could regain the strength we had in 91.

The clubs is a lot tougher thing though, they will have to fix their economy first because stuff can't get well if you're having problems with that. It looks very good now though, even though Stojkovic has left for Nantes. There are still some future prospects, which I believe will all leave for the upcoming season, Zigic for an example shouldn't be left at Zvezda when the 06/07 season starts.

Things can only get better from this point and on.

some people *cough wont name names cough* calling teams like Trinidad and USA mickey mouse, then they go on to tie European powerhouses

Posted by TranceGiant on Jun-18-2006 13:32:

It just has to be Pimpong's offside pass when he could have simply shot himself - standing all alone in front of the goalkeeper. I love this player!

Japanese defender just passed it back to the Japanese goalie who wasnt paying attention, and ball went past him but thankfully for them went out

He was paying attention, but the ball suddenly jumped high over his foot.
