I have heard that he is down to earth many times and that's cool but I just can't get into his style. I don't like ANY of the tracks he plays, not even the slightest bit. I am not hating or trying to bash on him, I just can't get into his music just like I can't get into anything with the word "house" attatched to it.

Suicide > House

Next Pay day I am getting my VIP ticket. Last year that was the best $80 I spent!

yeah i'm just saying i didn't like any of his sets i downloaded either, thought they were boring until i watched him mix and saw how he constructed everything piece by piece... actually my fav zabiela set is sasha & zabiela on annie nightingale, it's very trancey progressive with zabielh4x! zabiela tweaking age of love is massssivvve!

oh my god!!!!

so funny how we are all so different but certain djs bring us together. i had one of the best weekends musically and ruben was right there with me smiling as big as i was to jOOf and IM but yet he would not want to see zabs and fanciulli who i personally am dying to see and so excited since the night nic told me they are planning a tour together. i love both their styles and look forward to the night they come to LA.

but i totally respect ruben's taste in music and was so happy to experience this past weekend with someone who loves and respects jOOf as much as i do, maybe even more! that's what i love about this scene! so much diversity with a common theme, the music!

yeah, i know, i love everyone and love it all not really, there are djs i don't care for and sets that bore me to tears but i love the fact that i spent last weekend going crazy over lawler and hanging with those that feel the same and then this weekend spending time with those that love jOOf and getting to see michelle love 2 sets in a row from john when before she wasn't really ever into anything he did!!!!

life is good when you can surround yourself with all this positive, wonderful energy from a genere of music!

dancing, a universal language

My next show

ha, ha, dude, i went to every heavy metal show that came through atlanta in the late 80's and well into the 90's. i love the heavy stuff, maybe that's why i'm so drawn to the deep, dark and scary

The times have changed since the 80's and 90's. This is all black metal: fast, evil, devastating.... the real darkside

I will, because I can relate

More seriously, you made a lot of very good points in this thread, Ruben. Obviously, some people are going to be thrilled to see their favories yet again, while others would rather have different DJs. SoCal is a big market, so there are events for everyone to enjoy, but you can't please everyone every time; no point in arguing over personal taste

Arguing over musical preferences is like arguing over favorite foods, there is no point because everyone has their own particular taste.
