fuck i'm too lazy to quote multiple posts

so i'll paraphrase
quote:
clovis said he liked sunny day real estate

zomg emo lol!

seriously though, been meaning to check them out for ages, i might have to now

quote:
lucid likes good music etc

<3

check out (if you don't already know)
guster, more steve porter (from my hometown w00t), ummm
if you like something corporate etc, definately check out the early november, and also straylight run
straylight run is 2 guys who used to be in taking back sunday back when they were better, and the early november just kicks fucking ass
juliana theory mbbe too

as for me, lately i've been listening to...

calexico & iron and whine - in the reins
fucking great album. not usually a iron and whine fan, but these two made one great album. americana at its best

we are scientists idk, their only album
kinda in the same vein as the killers and bloc party. just better. than the killers at least
bloc party ftw

the knife - silent shout
i have no idea what the fuck is wrong with these guys, but i like them. they wrote the song heartbeats which was covered by...

jose gonzalez
been listening to his album veneer tons lately. mostly just solo acoustic stuff. his cover of heartbeats was in a diet coke(?) commercial where tons of bouncy balls are bouncing down a street in san francisco in slow motion. awesome cover

fuck there's tons more but the posts long enough already
word

Guster's "Eden" and "Rainy Day" are great.

Steve Porter. hmmm. i have just about all of his productions/remixes, and i absolutely love his sound... but after seeing him @ Porterhouse WMC this year, i think he's a terrible DJ now.

Juliana Theory fuckin' rules! "You Always Say Goodnight"... omg emo!

i'll check out the other names you mentioned.

Hip hop

Outkast (older Outkast) best lyricists ever

Wu-Tang Clan (strong 2nd)

Ludacris...not so much for his lyrics, although they aren't too shabby when you compare them to some of the "shit" that comes out of "rappers" today...and I believe he is a bit underrated and goes mainstream for the money, but I'm a really big fan of that southern style "funky" hip hop sounds that artists like Luda & Outkast put out there.

Rock

STP
Pearl Jam
Audio Slave
Rage Against the Machine
Tool
Godsmack (LOVING their new song "Speak")
Pink Floyd
U2
Dire Straits
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Radiohead
Nirvana

I could go on forever with the rock...i'm a huge rock fan.

i'm a huge hip hop fan too..even the newer "crap"...but only because of the beats/sounds...not really because of the artists. for me, when it comes to hip hop, it's all about the beat and sound and the lyrics are just a bonus, so i'm guilty of liking G-unit stuff like Lloyd Banks and 50 Cent, just because i think they got great sounds and it's the kind of hip hop that gets me out of my seat and dancing in the club.

wow somehow i had no hip-hop in my list
wtf

illogic, sage francis, cage, saigon, rjd2, mos def, atmosphere, aesop rock, etc

oh and @ lucid - good songs by guster, but imo the entirety of their album lost and gone forever is just fucking amazing
saw them live a few months ago, fucking rocked
newer album isn't as good

and for anyone who doubts gusters greatness, shit. just googled for pictures of them live, couldn't find any good ones. their drummer (for the most part) doesn't use drum sticks, he just uses his hands. its fuckin sweet

one of my best friends in high school was a hard core beastie boyz fan and he had all their CDs. before i knew him, i had only known "girls" and "brass monkey". lol which kind of had a punk rock flavor to both songs. but i was surprised to hear the rest of their older stuff which was very hip-hopish/rappish with way different beats that were actually pretty sweet.

i couldn't name any of those tunes, but i just remember liking pretty much all their old songs that my friend always played in his car when i was with him.

Didn't your boyfriend dump you because of you saying personal things about him over the internet? No, wait, that didn't happen...or did it? The truth is so ambiguous when it comes to you sometimes.

It sure would be funny if that entire episode turned out to be a bald-faced lie. That would sure make most of what you said in the above quote total bullshit, wouldn't it? Stirring up drama, taking on an act, going out of your way to create unnecessary drama in front of everyone. Not that you did it because you were confused or angry or deep though - just because you were bored? Or maybe that masochistic side of you really wanted to see everyone feel sorry for you and your problems.

once again, you are looking far too deep into the matter. i was just trying to get a laugh out of everyone with that prank, i really didn't think everyone would hate me for it.

quit trying to act like you know me. i'm actually very laid back and simple...aka *GASP* "normal". ask any TA who has met me and chilled with me or at least talked to me on the phone....ironically, those are the people from TA who like me. the ones who hate me are the ones who dont even know me, not even through chatting or anything. they are the ones who take everything i say literally and dont understand that i just like to get a laugh out of people. if you want to overanalyze that, i'll do it for you. i like to make people laugh so they'll think i'm funny and accept me. although, i dont go crazy if they don't...i just give it a shot. you win some you lose some.

honestly, i am very misunderstood because of my cutting, dry, sarcastic sense of humor and it's not my fault that not everyone gets my jokes, and personally i could give 2 shits if they don't and if they get all pissy about it. unlike most people on here, i dont lose any sleep over some random TA not liking me or insulting me.

everyone calls me a slut, a materialist flakey bitch, a crackwhore, etc..you name it. so that's why i usually just make some sort of random (funny to me) comment like, "i only date hot rich guys because then i can go shopping with their money" and i tend to leave out smiley faces or "lol jk" because i just assume (and would hope) that people know that i'm obviously being a smart ass and would chuckle, not get all fuckin hostile on me, which usually happens, but i'm used to it.

that's a little different than the crap MM pulls, i'm sorry...
