I think Theresa's second suggestion is a bit too far. If you can't sleep because of the noise - you aren't tired enough.

I just had a piece of cherry pie

I agree with theresa's theory

Is that when they are opening up the gates? 5pm? or Noon?

If its 5pm, then thats PERF, bc I wont miss ANY of the action then, as I dont think we can get out of Newmarket before 1230.

I wanna be there as close to opening as possible!

Last year shit happened, and we didnt end up arriving till like 7 or 8 pm I dont think!

NOT gonna happen this year!

You mean a tad bit south of them?

THAT'd be perfect for me!

We can park our vehicles there, close to that path/roadway, and close to the 4x4 stage, but FAR AWAY from teh DnB stage. So hopeuflly the only stage related sounds we'll be hearing at trance/techno/ or house!

i meant more south west..like under the first A in area.

Posted by Cosmic Fur on Jul-17-2006 03:17:

A little too close to the 4-4 stage, no?

perhaps...so more where like jamie said..under the second A in area?

Posted by Cosmic Fur on Jul-17-2006 03:47:

I dunno. You guys decide.

I'm just going to continue what I'm doing and find fault with every suggestion.

Posted by RandomGirl on Jul-17-2006 03:55:

I think it is best if we are near trees. It provides shade, which will keep our area a little cooler both in the day and at night. Not to mention, if it rains (which the forecast is predicting,) we will need trees to hang tarps and dry clothes.

Still thinking my 2nd suggestion is best at the moment... any other ideas though?

Posted by RandomGirl on Jul-17-2006 04:05:

I am assuming that this area will not be available for camping?

Posted by iLiptikalOrbitZ on Jul-17-2006 04:15:

FUCK YEAH! With this being my first WEMF, first Party of the summer, and first camping trip of the summer I'm extremely excited for this.

I.E. I'm there

I'm also looking for a ride there for friday night if anybody has room in thier car. I'm in cambridge, but only have a motorcycle now, and dont want to take it to WEMF, so I could even meet up in Toronto somewhere as long as I can store the bike for the weekend. PM me if you have room. thx

EDIT: I agree with Theresa's Location for camping. To the left of the DCM area near trees, beach, 4/4 stage

^^^ God, I hope its a non-rainy weekend! (thats looken _real_ iffy based on TWN's predictions for sat and sunday!

Red circled area - too close to DnB stage, not close enough to Four Four stage... or anything else.

Orange circled area - in the middle of no where.

Blue circled area - open field = really hot! No trees = no tarps.

Yellow circled area - too close to everything, lots of noise overflow, lots of traffic.

That brings me back to the right uncircled side. It has trees and shade, closer to the Four Four stage, any overflow noise will be from the Four Four stage, and probably not so busy which means that those of us who actually plan to get at least a little sleep will be able to Also, in case of potential rain (which they are forecasting,) trees are essential for tarps.

Agree, Disagree?

I changed my mind about that spot.

I dunno, my feeling is/was that I'd rather be closer to the 4x4 stag in the cetnre, under the word "AREA" as Andrew put it.

But then the rain in the forecast brought up a good consideration, creating tarps to cover our area, for which we'll need trees!

I dont much care about the sun and uber hottness during the day, I thrive on that, but if its rainy, being able to shelter ourselves with tarps is key!

Which means I kinda like ur idea of camping in that treed area to the right of the page.

What are others saying thinking about this due to the potential of rain for the wkend?

Posted by RandomGirl on Jul-17-2006 04:56:

As of now, this is where our group is planning to set up. If we all agree this is a good spot, we should label it the official TA area.

Posted by c2lancas on Jul-17-2006 05:57:

I think that's a great spot personally ... I'd rather seperate my partying from my camping so I can hopefully get some sleep.

Plus as mentioned before, the trees will be important for stringing up tarps in the case of rain
