That could have been a really cool line up in the Guv otherwise.

Im with ya as far as Benassi is concerned, Im just overall tired of seeing the same DJ's over and over at Guv/KH (ie. Armin, Ferry, Blank and Jones, Junkie XL etc.) There's so much other talent out there.

saw him over during the wmc @ ultra and I was actually kind of impressed, he didn't play songs like, "satisfaction" "who's your daddy" "every single day" etc etc. I could be wrong but I think he realizes those types of songs have little value in an actual set...at ultra he even dropped a sweet coldplay remix of "fix you". On the whole, I thought his set was very housy, a fun listen but nothing spectacular. I'll definitely catch a bit of his set if he plays at the same time as junkie, who for all the xl lovers I know is very solid - his sound just doesn't appeal to me.

WHAT?!?!?! Andy C is going to be there again? he was awesome at Freedom, except for the MCs. they blew chunks and ruined the set.

prediction: largest roll call this year.
so many dj's, so little time!

i ALSO recommend that Guv/KH promo peeps bring one of the two to LABOUR OF LOVE

MENNO DE JONG

OR

JON O'BIR

PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ THESE TWO ARE WIKID and would go perfectly with the current line up!!!!!

Is Menno allowed in Canada? He got deported from the US recently.

What exactly is wrong with having Benny at Labour?

Predictions for set times??

here's mine:

Guv: gotta think about it..any ideas?? Who's the opener? Hype?..wouldn't he be in the Orange Room?

KH:

Mark Oliver-9pm-11pm (last yr the doors opened at 9pm)
Armin Van Buuren-11pm-2 or 2:30pm
Junkie XL-2 or 2:30am - 4am
Ferry-4am-CLOSE

if the doors open at 10pm...then possible MO going from 10-11:30pm, Armin 11:30-2:30, Junkie 2:30-4am, Ferry 4am-close.

of course he is

He did NOT get deported fyi he was on his way to spin at the white party Spundae in LA with Armin on July 3rd, 2006 2 days b4 Armin was at Dragonfly and his connecting flight to Cali was from Detroit where he was interrogated like a bitch and sent back to Amsterdam bc he did not have a working permit this is after the US immigration ppl looked him up on his myspace and website and decideed that bc he's a DJ he did indeed need a working permit which costs A LOT of $$$...so plz get ur facts str8 b4 you throw words around like that thnx!

FYI:

deport
tr.v. deported, deporting, deports

1. To expel from a country.
2. To behave or conduct (oneself) in a given manner; comport.

If you have been indentified as attempting to enter the US illegally you are deported. It's that simple.

Ps. I've been to his website, he's on my myspace friends list and read the post on trance.nu.

Pss.. Look into spellcheck.

Have you seen him live? Or are you basing your opinion of him soley on 'Satisfaction' like all the other Benny haters?

You might remember a techno act from a few years ago by the name of 'Zombie Nation'. He released a track called 'Kernkraft 400' which was a pretty big crossover track. His live stuff is nothing like that at all.

Give the guy a chance.

I'm sorry.

I didn't know that getting deported was so complicated.

Not as complicated as rearranging the letters in Vin Diesel's name to reveal his frightening credo - I End Lives.
