Spain 75 - 74 Argentina

En la final, ostia puta! Very, very heartbreaking game, with close differences always. The last 3-pointer missed by Argentina was truly a liberation for spanish fans. Woah...

Ouch! USA sucked, what can I say. Didn't watch the game since it was 3:30 in the morning but I'll accept my punishment. Yet another USA basketball disappointnment...

I was cheering for him!

tsk tsk USA basketball still has alot to learn on how to prepare and play vs International competition.

watched some of the game and this dude Schortsianitis, they call him Baby Shaq ,but he's more like Karl Malone to me, totally pwned the U.S.The clippers drafted him in 2003 and I think he is on his way back to the NBA after last nights performance.

yay for Spain beating Argentina

Posted by Cloud on Sep-02-2006 09:48:

lol Schortsianitis is a monster Eddie. His performance yesterday was not the best he has made during the competition tho.

Spain tomorrow. Should be easy but it's a final you can't make predictions like my american friends did before USA's game.

Easy? I think you didn't see Spain during the tournament.

Posted by Cloud on Sep-02-2006 12:18:

I saw them yesterday

Just because you're shit, or not good one day, you're not shit overall.

I think basically that if Spain has a very good game from several players, not only Pau and Navarro, They could beat Greece pretty easily.

I think you're underestimating Spain, but I do hope that Greece wins and takes over the temporary title from Yugoslavia as the kings of Balkans in Basketball.

Currently yes, Back in the days, No.

We'll come back, but it'll take time now that the biggest stars isn't included.

Posted by zoric on Sep-02-2006 17:02:

No Pau in the final though

Posted by Heesh on Sep-02-2006 19:59:

Spain will pwn greece.

Posted by Cloud on Sep-02-2006 21:42:

^You shouldn't even say the word "pwn".

You know I was saying the same thing the other day to some people, a bunch of premadonnas cannot compete with the rest of the world..

Lets get some team players on the team, then we will own the rest of the world!!

The defeat of the TEAM USA just goes to show that the USA is all about looking good and individaulaity,

sorry for the misspeled words. I am on my 2nd bottle of Chianti ha ha

I think comments like that are underestimating the talent and teams of the other countries like Greece. Plus, most of the international teams have played with each other for many years and obviously have the advantage in team chemistry. Luckily with the new 3 year commitments, hopefully the U.S. will close the gap in those regards. Similarly, this will afford more time for these NBA stars to adapt better for the international style. They lost once, it's not the end of the world like it was back in the Olympics losing to everybody. This team showed more more unity. They need another defensive stopper and they need Michael Redd type of guy who can shoot the lights out.

I saw some progress....
