| Originally posted by Clovis86 They are thoroughly fucked. For some reason alot of new releases are getting tagged as released in 1999, putting them at the back of their section. Those seem to be the same tracks you can buy but not download, cause you get the above message^^ Hopefully they get these issues sorted quick...I've been using beatport for awhile now and would not like to switch. |
Anyone know if the issue with the tracks labeled as being released in "1999" have been fixed? I really want "Divine" by Emrecan Cakir...but it's one of them like I said in my other post. There's a bunch of other tracks I really want too, but don't want to run into any problems...

i don't see too many differences other than little cosmetic changes. prices are the same for us americans too so i don't see what you guys are talking about?
somebody should be cool and tell me how to get around the territorial issues though.

I emailed them about three days ago and this is the reply i got: "Please accept our apologies for this inconvenience. We are aware of this issue and our engineers are working diligently to resolve the problem, hopefully within the next 6 to 8 hours. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for your patience in this matter." I want my damn music |

I like the new setup. You can add artists and labels and it lets you know when they release new stuff. And they put the time back on the player so thats not an issue.

also, i'm having significantly less problems when browsing the Beatport site in Firefox. whenever i browse it in Opera it just gets stuck or lags for a long time.

Track lengths are back! Though it seems like when I click on some track for samples I can't scroll through it(? -- Move from one part of the sample to the other).
Does anyone know if the New Release bug has been fixed yet? (something to do with new tracks saying they're released in 1999?)

???
Anyone having problems hearing the Starkillers Remix on there of Vinny Toia - Flow. It haas a time of 0 min. I requested them to fix it.
Thank god the track length is back...
My issues are:
A) The release times. Lots of releases come out one day on djdownload, juno, trackitdown etc, but can be days or even WEEKS before beatport lists them...rare case MONTHS or not at all.
B) The release date issue. I find if I view all the releases in one day and then go back a week later, there are more that were added AFTER that actual date. On days where there are 15+ pages, I really don't want to have to go back through and view the previous week AGAIN.
C) The territorials showing up. With the BP2.0 there was a workaround which I was able to purchase a few, but they've fixed it so now it would be nice not to see at all.
D) No healthy competition. I mean it's clear they have the digital DJ market right now, and I know it will take time for all the decent minor labels to release both vinyl and digital, but I hate that I will find a really good track, then go out to a club and hear 3 or 4 DJ's play it in one night. That is one clear advantage vinyl had. But I have seen sites now selling limited copies of digital. Unfortunately p2p will kill that idea fast.
