Party in Hamilton? You have to ask? If you're friends are good and enough people know about the party, of course I'll go. I remember back in November last year, my boyfriend and my friends went to a techno party downtown Hamilton. It was in the basement of a restaurant. The guy who threw it or whatever, well his father owned the place so everything was cool. There were quite a few people there. It was really good. So, yeah, if you can arrange a party, that would be awesome!!!

Hey, has anyone heard of a new club in Stoney Creek called Night at the Roxbury? I heard that it cost 1.4 million to make and it looks like a movie house.

I am basing this on someone else's experience. About 10 friends wents to the place last friday night. I went with friends to the usual friday hangout. They got all deck up. Its ownned by the same owner as Roxy's in Eastgate. I haven't been there in 6 years and don't plan on ever going back. Well the place was dead on friday night. noce place with a valet. One guy loved it the other said it was borring. Compared to S***sh in burlington. I don't want to say the name because i will get in trouble for it but u know.

Speedracer, do you know if Roxbury used to be Roxxy or is it a different club? I remember going to Roxxy a looooooooooooong time ago. I think that was the first club I went to (I'm so ashamed). It is probably the smallest club in the whole world and the cheeziest. When I went, songs like Fat Boy and those other cheezy dance songs were popular. I don't know why the Hamilton area tries to make money with dance clubs. Does anyone remember Monopoly? That club and the old Fever were the only good clubs. Then, Monopoly went bankrupt and the old Fever was raided for drugs and now we have nothing!!!

yeah...i remember monopoly. or should i say whopopoly. actually, i really liked monops. it was a good club for hamilton's standards. the old fever was too much of a dungeon. i like the new renovations.

i mentioned it before but no one remebered. Long long before the drug raid @ fever it was good. I mean ....8 years ago. No one remebers. When the now hip hop side( well all of fever is hip hop now) was the only place u heard techno/trance in hamiltion. Please tell me someone remebers!!!! U guys r making me feel old. No roxbury is not the same club as roxxy but owned by the same owners. Less than a block away from roxxy's. In battlefied plazza. Where Valu Villige is, right beside it.

What's an exam? Cute. Luckily I only have 2. Anywayz, I remember the old Fever days. I never went but I remember hearing about it. I don't like it since the renovations cuz for one, they took away trance and now on Friday's it's house and breaks - boo!!! Anyhow, we should all meet at the Snooty Fox some time but let's do it and not just talk about it.

Party Update

good to see all the replies & good vibes coming in about the party

here's the update, it will be at a hall, not someone's house first of all, and it will be in May/June me and my buddy are both finishing up night classes and between that, work, and the YMCA - we gotta get a date that'll be good for everyone involved

Hey all...let's get together this Thursday or Friday..What day is good??...OK let's say Friday for a couple pints (7..9 what time is good?)...someone has to say a day otherwise it aint happening.

..about negative space: April 27 at HOME a production company called NEGATIVE SPACE is hosting a bunch of dj's all spinning a variety of HOUSE and TECHNO (sorry no trance..this is hamilton remember... and certain variations of those genres..cover 5 bucks, doors open at 10...doubt I'm going but if anyone like house and techno then check it out.

....another thing..I the new deal came to my MAC on Wednesday...and I don't care what people's opinions are of these guys but they put on a great show and everybody was dancing and having a great time...I know it's supposed to be live progressive house and probably not most people's taste but it was still a great time..

...so let's get a confirmed hamilton TA chill out time set..so lets hear what you have to say.

Doesn't anybody remember the old Eclipse parties? They were put on by a bunch of guys from Hamilton/Burlington (including DJ Ollie who was later signed to Plus 8), and were usually at the old Linden St. Flea market or sometimes at this smaller location at 96 (I think) Wilson. They happened every couple of months back in '92-'94. They were wicked parties! Totally different feel to the Toronto parties at the time. Eventually people just stopped going, and they just died out. They were the first parties I ever went to (lived in Burlington at the time)...

Eclipse parties? Haven't a clue. As for the party to be held at the Y in May/June, wicked, can't wait, hope lots of people come out. As for a Hamilton TA meet up this week, maybe Thurs. but I'm not sure. Hey, how many of you are going to see AVB this Sat. at the Guv? Maybe I'll get to meet a bunch of you there. I'm going for sure. I absolutely love Armin!!! I've been waiting for his return since Nov. after the State '01 party. Whoever is going, let me know so I can be on the look out for you.

I am going to be there 90% sure, cuz it's my buddies birthday this weekend and it depends if he does it Friday or Saturday. I wanna go bad though. If I go I would like to meet up with you (liquidchick) and other TAs.

If you really really want to go, then you'll go on Sat. Your buddy will have an amazing time. I wish I could have seen AVB on my b-day but he was spinning in the U.K that day. And there's nothing to do on Fridays anyway, unless you're friend likes going to Splash or other clubs like that.

yah i remeber hearing about friends going to eclipe parties. I have a friend who i still hang around who is a buig plus 8 records fan and his older brother used to always go to the eclipse parties in hamilton. I was told about them growing up. That is something i missed. u were previleged.

I WAS ONLY 13 BACK IN '92. i'M 22 NOW. NOT YOUNG BUT BEEN AROUND THE SCEEN SINCE.....LATE 94.
