not to hate on the panthers BUT they didn't win a single game in the stanley cup finals against the avalanche. that was the avs first season, they finished #1 in their division and won the cup in 4 games with a shutout in game 4...that trumps what the pathers did in the '95-'96 season.

but the Avs were just the old Quebec Nordiques...they weren't as expansion team at all

Half the ppl who go to Rangers games are corporate fucks who dont give 2 shits about the team. The real fans are up top and probably equal out to the same amount that goes to the Islander games so stfu end of off topic

i agree, i went to a rangers game earlier this year and was like 5 rows behind the ranger bench and i was kinda disgusted with all the people around me. you could tell most got their tickets for free and they either showed up really late or left really early, they didn't really watch the game and i heard way too many people asking questions anyone who is even a little bit of a hockey fan would know.

but also remember game 4 is still one of the best Stanley Cup Finals game ever as well

they were the #1 seed in the shortened season right before they moved to Colorado in 95, not to mention the #2 seed 2 years before that in 93

they already had the pieces of the puzzle by then, so they weren't a new team by all means

'88 - '92 & '94 out of the playoffs, '93 was a good year and '95 was half a season...i'm not going to argue, but once the team moved to colorado it was a very different team that's why i see them as new not brand spanking new but oh well whatever
