I would say Nintedo ...

Playstation and all this Xbox crap is boring. I mean, maybe the games and graphics are pretty good, but its for nerds and geeks that like to spend time in their basement and just play non stop, but again there are people who buy this for fun.

But if you want fun, why wouldnt you get Wii.
Wave the remote around, have a good time with friends.
Get smashed before or stoned or whatever you guys do , and wave that remote while buzzing your head off.
Now, that sounds pretty fun to me, rather then sitting in once spot and shotting other people ...

Play some classic games like Mario on Wii, pretend u are actually driving that little cart by the movement of your hands ...

Oh man ... i need it.

hahaha, I haven't even tried the remote yet but every game would be so much better with that controller. Everything from Splinter Cell, to Resident Evil. Real-time strategy games will finally be playable on consoles! Not to mention how much better first-person shooters will play with that thing.

Oh, and speaking of which:

quote:
Ever since the PS3 and Wii have been announced, pre-orders have been coming in thick and fast. If youre keeping tabs, orders for each console have been neck and neck. But recently, Wii has pulled in front. Toys R Us is reporting that Wii orders are increasing, while PS3 orders are not being allowed to be taken at all and all PS3 advertising has been taken down. Yes, you read that right. Rumours are circulating that EB Games may also take the same approach.

From a Toys R Us employee, "With the people that have already left a deposit, we have to follow up with them when we get an email from head office and until then we just have their names down, but we are no longer accepting anymore (PS3) pre-orders. Hmm, interesting. This may be because of the delay of the PS3 and Sony is compensating for this, or they (Sony) simply cannot fill the pre-order quota.

In comparison, Nintendos Wii is beaming. Multitudes of advertising and pre-orders are silently killing Australian parents wallets. The different experience to the other consoles seems to be appealing to the masses. And with Nintendo shooting for an October Australian release date with a price under $350, and PS3 retailing for $1000 when it does launch (most likely late 06 or early 07), Sony better be damn well prepared.

So if this is the case, should I get in my pre-order now, and then try to sell the PS3 back to some sucker over ebay for a nice $1000 profit?

I'm not sure. At the beginning of the year I would've said to go ahead and do that but right now; I think Nintendo's hype is just going to kill Sony this holiday season. I doubt the PS3 will be in such high demand. I've yet to see anything worthwhile from Sony. Their showing at E3 was horrible. They have absolutely no hype riding into this holiday season. Their system is incredible expensive. There's not one game that's launching with the system that's getting EVERYONE's attention.

The unfortunate thing for Sony is that they thought this will be a walk in the park, just like with the PS2. Once more and more developers realize how big of an investment is needed to develop for the PS3 versus the Wii, they'll start supporting the Wii more and more. You can already see this slowly happening with the support that Ubi-Soft and Electronics Arts are giving the console.

If anything; I'd pre-order 2 Wii's, and sell one eBay.

Yes, they've made a few games, and even less good ones.
