Nice work Akia.Good sounds and good vocal
NorhStar.
It's not bad...
The vocals have potential, but I think they'd be better in a bjork/froufrou type of track.
Anyway, nice work.
sounds really good Akia!
hope our song will sound just as good
Thank you very mutch guys!

The track has a total commercial feeling to it and the fact that the vocals doesn't have a real message annoys me. I review as I listen. I didn't want to give you full critic because I wouldn't have anything good to contribute on how to improve it. I just dislike it and I have nothing helpful to say on how to improve it. I didn't want to be harsh for no reason at all. Cheers, Omer |
No problem man.
Always remember, it's useless to write a distructive comment that won't help at all.
I'd appriciate if you can review my track on the front page.
Omer
Anuga mentioned this production on his site, so I gave it a listen, and here are my comments:
The music:
You should make a longer intro, it builds up too fast.
E.g. only breakbeat for 8 measures, then add that high pitch sound on top for 8 measures, and then the background, and so on...
The breakbeat drum is weak; thud, thud - should be thump, thump. Check out Hybrid or The Crystal Method, or similar.
Could use some darker sounds, e.g. change A flat to G sharp, deeper bass.
Loose some BMPs, 128-132 is more moody.
Let the music fade out completely before the track ends.
The vocals:
First of all, try to suppress your accent/dialect. I know Swedes have a hard time with it but it has to be done.
A bit nasal, but not disturbingly.
Pronunciation, pronunciation, pronunciation.
Longer vowels, feel my emptiness -> feeeel myyy emptineeess.
The message in the lyrics doesnt get through due to reasons above, and that's a bit disturbing.
I won't comment on the content of the lyrics, as that is not essential to sound.
The effects at 2:09, 3:47 could be better. Faster echo to match BMP.
Bad recording equipment?
Keep producing and singing and the quality should improve in time.
I would agree with comments above...but certainly you produced pretty good tune here...
I like the vocals, but they are a bit hard to understand really :-(
you have really nice voice... :-)
Thanks a lot for your comments guys.
Helpful advices @ "Groundline" and i agree with the "softness" of the breakbeat, BUT i dont agree with the build up. I personally like it that way, dont know, but i think it fits.
lol
However thanks for your suggestions
really nice track - good production IMO but i'm not 100% sure on the vocal.
Thank you Elektro_Tek! Why dont you like the vocal? Is it my voice or something with the mixing?
