That would be an insult to Madonna.

Uh...

to some extent,

but all of the guys at the top have made production albums and tracks that everyone loves for an extend period of time. A lot of people agree that back when the big names weren't the hugest of names they made some awesome produciton albums. Tiesto, Armin, PVD....

i know you in particular might not their stuff. You'd consider it a raping of the genre. most people don't see it that way. the type of stuff you like is still in existence, but just not in the popular part of the scene.

....

Don't complain. It's keeping your thread alive.

I'm glad that basement jaxx cd won those couple years ago, I liked it alot. Wasn't really ever into the Chemical bros. though.

As far as who I wish were the popular musicians, thats a tough question. I liked the madonna CD best out of the ones you can grab at best buy or the local mall or what have you. Grammys has always been about recognizing those who are the most recognizable. So who is at that border of being recognizable but isn't quite there? Not many people who have an elible CD this year.

Is the Chemical Brothers "Galvanize" more Dance then Madonna's "Sorry"?
Madonna does indeed stand a chance to win the award.

My favorite EDM album this year? Probably Royksopp "The Understanding", although it really came out in mid 2005.

It's pop dance...both with cross over success.

Agreed, it's retarded.

i would nominate:

Ellen Allien and Apparat - Orchestra of Bubbles

Seor Coconut And His Orchestra - Yellow Fever!

because i consider them to be extremely well produced and i enjoy every single track in each of them. But they won't get nominated and it's like Ishkur said, some mainstream artist is taking it.
