Top moments were Barbara's birthday parties, November 2002(9 hours!) and 2003, and Sven's 7 hour set, May 2003.

All of Barbara's sets there were great, hearing her there was hearing her at home, in her prime...I think I heard 5 or 6 Barbara sets there (of the 20 or so times I've seen her in the last 5+ years!)

yeah barbara nov 2002 and sven vath were top notch!!!!

OH those were the days! ... when prog was REAL deep prog ... & techno was KICK ASS techno - when ARIA was at its prime and Preach just in his training wheels - but spectacular - as still to this day. some of these memories cannot be forgotten. my life in Montreal changed ME and ARIA was the center of my universe.

I had great moment at Aria a few years ago!! I remember my first night there, it was Armin Van Buuren in 2001, the club was less than half full!! If Armin have this reputation in Montreal, he can say thank you to Aria!! Aria was always there whit quality music and artists, always there whit new name and futur superstar djs!!! I will miss those years and those moments.

But now, where's Jean-fred, he use to be there to speak about his club?

I was there in August and it makes me sad to go back because that vibe is gone. There was just something magical about the nights I had there...but then again, I was relatively new to partying/techno back in those days.

First time I went to Aria was for John'00'Flemming and Marco V...a realllyyyy long time ago (early 2003 at least?!?)...I WAS HOOKED!!!

I remember getting buttterflies every time I was getting ready to go cuz I knew I was going to have such a great time!! It was always a BIG thing organizing nights at Aria with my friends...

oh this really is sad

Aria has been my home for the last 3 1/2 years so this is a little disheartening for me as well. Aria has been the only place I've really gone to dance in MTL so I don't really have any basis for comparison to other clubs, but I do know that some of the best nights of my life were spent in that dark and dirty underground hole and I won't forget any of it (except for the parts I don't remember ). That said, my best three nights were:

1: Tiesto/Armin/Guy Ornadel - F1 weekend 2003 (My first afterhour experience)
2: Ferry - April 2005 (Best clubbing night of my life, hands down)
3: Marcus Schulz - (Nick Pilon's set eclipsed Marcus's, also met Caela, Aureus, Tag and jesteraver for the first time)

Like they say, all good things must come to an end. But like a grey hair, pluck one and two more grow in it's place. I'm not worried about Montreal's EDM scene in the slightest. On the contrary, in these past few years there has been such an enormous wealth of talent passing through there that the locals are becoming spoiled and will start to complain about anything they possibly can. People here are too often complaining about what they don't have that they are too busy to realize what they do have. I guess you really don't know what you've got til it's gone.

why are u all talking like the close is already closed ?

As far as i'm concerned there is no official word to the closing of Aria so why talk about it like it's closed ?
