your right with a partial correction

Sasha + Digweed did indeed remix this Depeche Mode song quite some time ago.

hmmmm...I haven't heard Koglin's remix. I'm assuming it's much more recent?

(dark and long is a killer track...I think I have Oakie's remix and it's one of my faves too).

if you are downloading this track then it is labelled as the sasha & digweed mix but if you listen to it its infact the Mike Koglin mix.

Check for yourself

uptill now majority of us including me have named tunes that are quite a bit old ... lets change the mood from old school to some of the hottest NEW Trance tunes which are dance floor stompers.

Sean Tyas - Lift
Frontline - Global Systems
Stoneface & Terminal - Venus
Joonas Hahmo - The Fusion (Original Mix)
Smith & Pledger - White
Kyau & Albert - Are You Fine
Emjay - Real High (AK-47 Remix)
Andy Moor vs Orkidea - YearZero
Deems - Tears of Hope (Aly & Fila Remix)
Above & Beyond - Tri-State (Frase Remix)
AM - Moonball (Original Mix)
M.I.K.E. - Salvation (Plastik Boy Remix)
Giuseppe Ottaviani - Through Your Eyes

and tons and tons more.
there is no doubt that 98 tp about ummm 2002 Trance was in its glory and those days and tunes can never be replaced but at same time looking at how Trance has evolved i am happy the way it has changed and the tunes that are being made now. tis all fa kin su pah !!!!

I stand corrected!

I wonder if perhaps the confusion lies in it coming from a CD by Sasha + Digweed:

quote:

Mike Koglin: Enjoying the silence

...

The Silence was a high-quality, original reinterpretation, and it suitably impressed those whose opinions counted including most notably Depeche Mode, who liked the track enough to grant Mike permission to give the mix a proper major-label release in the UK. With Depeche Modes blessing secured, Mikes masterpiece soon became a UK top-20 hit, landing in the record boxes of every top jock on the planet, and landing the coveted last-disc, last-track slot on Sasha and John Digweeds retail mix compilation that year, Northern Exposure Expeditions. The rest, as they say, is history.

good call!

good call!

nah, the confusion lies from those getting their music free from file sharing program. anyone who has purchased this track or a legitimate S&D cd would know its not "their" mix

hey!

I have this file in an old directory on my HD from when I first started listening to trance and was d/l a bunch of stuff to figure out what I liked. Pretty much everything wasn't readily avialable on CD (if at all). I've bought enough vinyl and CDs that I can go to sleep at night content in knowing that I support EDM artists just fine

I'd call that prog too...but yeah, a really good track for sure. Ha, it reminds of Fly back in that club's heyday.

John Creamer + Stephane K are awesome producers...'I Wish you were Here' is soooo good.
