I think you are missing the point here along with funky. It's not the heat, it's WHY the heat is coming. Everyone likes warm weather, but I would rather have a healthy planet and cooler weather than HEAT and smog everywhere. If you want heat, you shouldn't be living in Canada 3/4 of the year lol.
edit: I agree I miss the snow. We have lots out west here Jem! You are always more than welcome to come out here

Didn't you read my post?
Earth has been warming up ever since the last Ice Age. Guess what a warmer earth would do to the atmosphere

Failing that, maybe ill fly out west and crash your snow party

EDIT: Posted by Ashley (forgot to sign outta Chirs's)
Everyone should watch Al Gore's movie. I know it's been said in like 5 different posts, but that movie will shock you.
GLOBAL WARMING IS A PHENOMENON, A VERY VERY SCARY ONE!
As Al Gore states in An Inconvient Truth, if we do not start changing the way we are polluting the earth, Greenland will completely melt over the next 50 years, and the whole ocean/seas will rise 20 feet. Tell me that's not scary, and that Global Warming is not a "big deal".

Getting back on topic...
I'm very sad that there won't be snow for Christmas.

Its times like these I love global warming.
If global warming were to stop right now, the world would be the perfect temperature.

I don't mind that, as long as it doesn't get colder than polar bear's arsehole.
Being able to bike in late december is just so wrong

The CO2 we are putting into the air is MASSIVELY higher because of of us when compared to the last 500 000 years. There are some facts in that movie that will blow your mind. Global Warming is happening wether you want to believe or not. |

So, yeah, the globe is warming. It has been warming for more than a million years, and as you can see we've been due for it. It's colder now than the Earth is usually, and it's going to take a lot of warming to get up to the point that the Earth tends to naturally gravitate towards (22C).

THANK YOU.
And does anyone remember when there was a WORLD WIDE "GLOBAL COOLING" scare in the 1970's???!
Hugh. What happened to that theory? It was fairly pervasive too.
This warming is all just a natural cycle that affects the earth over years, decades, centuries, millenia, etc. We simply have to accept it and deal with it.
(And, no, I am not advocating to stop trying to pollute less. We should do that as a general rule, treat our environment with care, I'm simply stating our polluting isn't the primary cause for the earth's natural warming tendency)
Here. Some reading on the matter.

The media and governments fucking blow this shit out of the water. Using the "scare" of global warming brought on by us, by our ways, to try to enact change. Nothing wrong w/ reducing our polluting ways, but they aren't what's causing this. It's just the tag line the media and governments use.
