-- Why does everyone hate Sean Tyas?

Ive enjoyed readind this thread.. amusing!

My opinion is pretty similar to what other people have been saying. His first 2 tracks he produced were good, maybe a bit over rated but they were still good tracks.

As regards from then, hes gone down hill.. his remixes are boring and predictable. For me a remix has to sound completley different and better than the original. Tyas did hardly anything to Rank1 - Airwave. Im surprised he had the cheek to remix such a classic.. Im pretty sure Rank 1, would be shaking their heads in disgust.

Not only are his remixes the same, his sets have become unbeliavbly predictable...

I think the thing with Tyas, rather than pioneering the trance scene he is just rinsing the sound thats in at the minute, and will slowly fade away.

Of course he didn't.
He was too busy 'reworking' Silent Night.

because tranceaddict forum is based on "bash" and "hatred"

Posted by trancepunkk on Dec-26-2006 11:33:

sean tyas' remixes aren't that great a standard but i still enjoy his original productions alot even if they are overrated. but fuck he doesnt deserve all this hate, hes still not been around that long...give him some time i doubt all his stuff will keep sounding the same. and if u dont like him who gives the fuck, hes not "destroying the scene" just dont listen and get over it...why do people on here automatically start hating people as soon as they become a big name. with tyas i dont care but it seems to be a major trend here to bag someone even if they have skill if they are are a big name..tiesto, ferry corsten, etc.....sometimes they actually do have skill u know

Its probabluy because the people on this forum are passionate about the scene. Trance has already took enough damage as it is in the last few years.

People are entitled to an opinion.

which is part of the problem.

He's churned out 17,421 productions since last week. When they all sound similar, its too much. If he'd slowed down a bit people might not mind so much. But when someone floods the market its not a good thing for anyone.

Posted by trancepunkk on Dec-26-2006 14:17:

true. but my point was that because of this his productions will still improve alot (they better anyway lol)

Posted by tc-fan on Dec-26-2006 14:33:

i think sean should work with more people..
u2 - with or without you [alucard and sean tyas mix]
is a great example,,

Historically, this hasn't always worked well for artists producing the quantity of music he apparently is. (See: Swedish House Mafia)

Posted by Subtle on Dec-26-2006 14:54:

I havent heard any of his tunes. if its hyped and hated at the same time, stay away from it.

Posted by denys envy on Dec-26-2006 15:01:

look i think there's a thin line to cross with a sound.

a perfect example is D-Nox & Beckers. you could easily make the argument that all of their remixes/originals have the same organic sound elements. however they manage to switch it up and evolve. it took them 6 months but somehow they keep finding ways to catch my attention with their work.

listening to sean tyas and is like coming to work at a stripclub. sure there's titties, but you can only see the same ones so many times, after a while you feel like going to the owner and asking him why the fuck doesn't he employ new titties? I mean it's cool that they're titties and all and god i love titties but i'm tired of looking at the same ones day in and day out.

get new titties tyas!

Posted by trancepunkk on Dec-26-2006 15:08:

lol worst metaphor ever....

pfft as if u'd get sick of an awesome set of tits....carmen electra's tits are a prime example

The point is most tits in the strip club aren't the best tits ever, and neither are Sean Tyas' tunes.

We don't get sick of the best tits ever.

How long have you been listening to 'edm'?

LOL + 100

Tyas is the new JOC for sure, boring ass tough and really quite bare tracks.

Remind me a lot of UK hard trance, which is why I went off the harder scene a few years back.
