I take it back now (musically)

Moloko - Sing it back
Spiller - Groovejet

Maybe someone from england's had a word

Why wouldn't you have 10 batsmen of which 5 are part-timers? Or 8 and 2 bowlers? With the hitting game I doubt the difference between bowlers and part-timers would be all that much

i don't like 20-20

you love it

It's just gotta be treated as it is, a bit of fun. The financial gains we've seen in 3 years in the english county game is phenomenal, it's made an absolute killing & really got people interested in cricket.

Looks like you've not had our offer too. The first 2 seasons, anyone who caught a ball in the deep won 10'000 then smaller prizes afterwards

and Monty strikes

Posted by Ian on Jan-09-2007 09:12:

just to add ben, bowlers have had a good 2 years in england, they've adapted well & levelled it nicely

Posted by Trance Nutter on Jan-09-2007 09:14:

10,000!!!!!!!!!!!!

At the game on NYD they were giving away free tickets to the next game if you caught a 6.
Of course I was in the members on the short boundary so entry was free anyway

We had one come within about 3 metres of us too

(SA won a match on the weekend )

who were the unlucky team to lose to you ?

Posted by Trance Nutter on Jan-09-2007 09:19:

New South Wales

They had some rugby player playing for them who was crap so the NSW captain farmed the strike in the last over (they needed 13, he turned down 4 singles and hit a 4 on the last ball - ended up losing by 9)

You can't afford that mister, though there might be someone closer who has a recipe for potato! Funny little chap, lives on a reserve in a caravan and could probably do you a deal on some semtex, on the side O'callasomething.

What lets down 20-20 is that it's generally family orientated. I went to the Ashes 05 at Edgebaston, lots of banter and giving the Aussies abuse, some people behaved like right animals but it was a good laugh, being a spectator at sport event should be like that.

It's like the state football was getting itself into over in the UK with the prawn sandwich brigade attending games and trying to buy up season tickets. If you go to a football match it's a working class sport your going to hear banter and abuse etc.

Ian I think you need to buy a spacesuit with this allergy lark.

you have no idea how hard it is at times mate, they put potato in so much, it's so annoying. Saw a gorgeous looking lamb & mint soup the other day, ingredient 3? Potato to fill it out. bah. My favourite chicken & mushroom slices from sainsburys have now put it in too. While a bit doesn't hurt me, I try to keep rid of it forever. bah
