go murray!!

Posted by zoric on Jan-22-2007 13:38:

Murray has been playing great so far against Nadal, hope he wins.

Posted by Unique2701 on Jan-22-2007 13:44:

Murray ftw!

Odds of murray winning over nadal.. 49-51 i'd say

Posted by eRRaTiK on Jan-22-2007 13:52:

are you watching the match?

Murray is up 2 sets to 1. and 3-2 in the fourth

Posted by zoric on Jan-22-2007 13:56:

Nadal just tied, 3:3

Posted by zoric on Jan-22-2007 14:15:

2:2 in sets now though

told u so
Tho they both played very well the first few sets, I already thought Murray made more enforced errors. A lot of times he missed balls that weren't very hard, and played them out. I also thought his service was more vulnerable. He needed more 2nd services, and the amount of double faults...... :S

Murray is definately one to watch out more for in the very near future. If he can get more precise and work more on his service (or nerves perhaps?), then he can be a big one.

Posted by zoric on Jan-22-2007 15:03:

Good game I believe.

Murray lost the whole thing when he let Nadal take a 2:0 lead in the last, he also played pretty well until Nadal finally smashed him in the end by winning the last set with 6:1.

Posted by eRRaTiK on Jan-22-2007 20:31:

See the thing is it was Murray's game to lose, and he did.

The strategy that he and his coach employed worked so well but when Murray deviated from it (momentary lapses of concentration) Nadal was on top of it and ramming his forehands up Murray's nose. Murray then started beating himself up and his serving (which was awesome in the first set) left him.

Those drop shots in the forecourt forcing Nadal to run to net followed by the overhead and then Nadal trying to spin around and hit a pass were gold. The way Murray adjusts his game based on the reaction of his opponent was top notch.

He should have never let it gone to five, coz then it was Nadal's game. Murray had several chances to close it out but he choked the chicken.

Great match, Murray is definitely the shining light in UK tennis.

Now I'll just have to wait for Federer to rip Nadal apart. Same strategy that Murray used, but better execution from the Fed Express.

The way Gonzalez has been playing so far, I think he might be the one to beat Nadal before Roger rips him apart...

Nalbandian's loss to Haas was expected in my opinion, he hadn't been playing well and was too exhausted to face the german player.

Interesting quarters you could say... I think they all have a real shot at the championship except for Fish and Robredo in my opinion, although Roger is still the heavy favorite in my book.

Posted by zoric on Jan-23-2007 10:25:

Federer close to lose a set for the first time after pretty sloppy play. Though, Robredo plays good.

Posted by zoric on Jan-23-2007 11:06:

Another win for Roger, he didn't even play at 70% and still won this game comfortably in 3 sets.

Posted by partyhopper on Jan-23-2007 15:43:

wow, only 4 unforced errors in Roddick's win over Mardy Fish, to reach the semis

and Serena reaches the women's final four, needing to go 8-6 in the 3rd

Posted by zoric on Jan-23-2007 16:47:

Impressive by Roddick!

I think he's the only one who can break down Federer currently with his serve and fast play. Nadal isn't good enough on hardcourt yet.

Posted by Hajduk on Jan-24-2007 02:18:

Yeah I saw that fight on TV. Us Cros and the Serbs whopping each other once again.

My choice was Ancic, but fucking Roddick beat him.. Ancic played well though..

Posted by zoric on Jan-24-2007 08:39:

Haas is through

Posted by Unique2701 on Jan-24-2007 11:04:

Anyone noticed Nadal often grabs his ass right before he throws up the ball to serve? Men he has a JLO booty

It's his pants, and if you're not a girl, then you must be a ****** for noticing it

Posted by zoric on Jan-24-2007 11:43:

Fernando Gonzalez crushed Nadal in 3 straight sets, way to go

Posted by Unique2701 on Jan-24-2007 12:06:

Haha, I am a girl, don't worry

Didnt expect Gonzalez to win.. especially in 3 sets!

Is Roddick gonna stop the Fed Express?

Hard to tell as Federer played at perhaps 70% of his potential and killed his latest opponent.

This SHOCKED me
Couldn watch (working) but looking at the stats, he really did CRUSH 'em.
He and Haas will be pretty interesting in the semis.
I gotta pick Gonzalez after this showing.

I prolly am the biggest Federer fan alive, so even tho I've never seen Roddick
play this well, i'm sticking with Roger. VERY tight match, i say in 5.

Clijsters and Serena in the other final imo.
Serena is easily my most dislkied women's player (Roddick in men), but
DAMN she is tough, especially when she's down.
Lets just hope she somehow loses, cause i cant stand to see he win again.
Her arrogance, if possible, would reach a new height

I don't see why people dislike her so much, she's a good player and gets very into her matches; she isn't as arrogant as I think she could be. Her outfits are outrageous and she's intimidating but so what? I initially wanted Clijsters to win and I still do but from now on I hope Serena gets back on a roll and crushes people right and left.
