I'm actually glad England won, or else the Super 8's might not have been so super with Ireland, Kenya and Bangladesh (likely). Lets be honest, as great as it is to see them playing well and taking it to the established teams, they're not gonna give the tourney a shake are they?
Your provisional Super 8's:
Australia
South Africa
Ireland
England
Sri Lanka
New Zealand
Bangladesh
West Indies
Ok, so Bangladesh vs Bermuda today. The decider match for India.
Rain has delayed the start. It seems the match will be delayed atleast till lunch time. Doesn't look good for India, if they call off the match.
....
reduced to 21 overs
bermuda posted 94
bangladesh 17-1 at the moment with the ball moving at right angles
fingers, toes and every other crossable bodypart crossed.
....
30-2 now
mukeddum bowling magnificently
still crossed.
....
target revised to 96 to win (1 run changed, duckworth and lewis should be shot)
37-3 now
and im beginning to sweat
....
hope is a terrible thing
23 from 7 required now
no hope
best of luck to bangladesh in the super8's
you re going to need it
outfield looks awful at this new stadium. Sooooooo slow. Obviously hasn't grown in yet.
Wow...
India out. Pakistan out. Not much left in the World Cup for me but this is just very disappointing. I feel really bad for Pakistan as well. What I dun get it is how could two such strong teams on paper perform this miserably.
The positive that can come out of this is that both Ireland and Bangladesh would see a boost in their cricket - so thats good for cricket in general. Not the ICC though because of the revenues they would be losing out on.
I am now supporting for Windies and South Africa. SA really deserves to win a world cup and luck has never favored them in any of the previous World Cups...
I still remember that 99' WC Australia vs South Africa semi final when Klusener was just destroying everything in and around him. I hope SA does well this World Cup. I think its long overdue and they definitely deserve it...
I've been reading the news about India's prospects. Something tells me both India and Pakistan will change big time in the near future. They are fucked right now...but the only way from here is upp....

Noooo fucking way
Was at the Bermuda vs Bangaldesh match and it was a boring affair due to the rain stoppages.
I am happy about Australia beating the Windies. Even though every West Indian person will support the Windies team - the team is up one day and down the next.
I am supporting both Australia and South Africa this time.
Tomorrow - Windies vs New Zealand.
Today was a very confusing game for me, love both South African and Sir Lankan teams.
Sirlanka did a great job but luck was on the South African side.
Good Luck to both teams still.
lol...I think this is the first time I have seen luck favoring
South Africa
Yay! Sir Vivian Richards...the man himself may coach India...
, finally some positive news
Sri Lanka are dominating the Windies at the moment. You really have to wonder if many teams can handle them. atm I call Sri Lanka, South Africa, NZ & Aussies to make the final 4

I don't understand much about this game, but my god they break for tea! Go England.
The Trinis are still think the Windies have a shot in making it to the final 4 - I disagree. (I cannot make this statement in person considering when I am living). The Windies play good one day and then suck for the next few matches and then again no team has ever won on thier home soil as yet.

Wow Bangladesh killed My favourite team. LOL
Bangladesh won by 67 runs. Bangladesh 251/8 (50 ov); South Africa 184 (48.4 ov).
Great bowling by Bangladesh made that game so interesting - great to see such a team with so many young players doing well.
