It's not that americans are afraid. We're just too busy shopping, selling crap on ebay, youtubing, myspacing, and just being bread into a completely passive society - perfect consumerist cows.

I often wonder about that.. and realize that this country has gone from 60's activism to complete "idontgiveafunkism" of 90's - present day.

Your average activist wouldn't even know how to protest unless his local starbucks closed.

so. that's that.

it's scary. really scary as to how passive this country has become. Our generation is a proverbial "veal". heck, nah... we're a bunch of Kobe Beef cows. Oh well.

Heck, you can even email your senator now to protest/request something changed. Coz' if you regular mail them - your letter has even less chance of being read due to past Anthrax scares. By the time it is sanitized, checked, delivered, etc - the issue is already a law.

anywho. we deserve the gov't we see in the white house. snooping, constitution-disregarding, murderous, mismanaged, chronie-infused, THE ABSOLUTE WORST GOVERNMENT IN THE AMERICAN HISTORY.

That's our Gen-X'ers fault.

why because ppl are too concern being cool? People have always put being cool before what their government does. And wouldn't you when you have all the resources in the world to enjoy life?

How so? If you read anything I said aside from the 1st thing I posted you would have read that I said prior to having mass amount of Jews killed he was (what seemed to be) a smart man. He had good intentions, smart ideas and was some what level headed. Like I said, people need to read up on it that's all. I didn't know the man personally, so what I know is what I read and was told by family.

I also said he was fucked. I never once called him perfect and an idol to look up to. He was a smart man, if you read up on it, you'd know..not necessarily agree but still know.

he was smart, and he was also a lunatic.

it's theorized that he developed borderline personality disorder due to his father's beatings.

others have theorized him to have been a sociopath (antisocial personality disorder).

i think sociopathy fits him better than borderline.

but anyway.. it's possible to be both smart and mentally interesting.

of course, adoplh hitler, was smart. He was the first to successfully brainwash an entire people. And he introduced new methods that hadn't been heard off until he came around.

Good. That asshole needs to be shown that the world hates him...in every corner of the globe including a sizeable part of his own country.

I'd vote for him again.

The comparisons to Hitler are fucking ridiculous, and all who buy into that are, too.

Going into Iraq was justified.

Well, remember the reason Bush came here?

Ethanol, Bio-diesel and loads of environment-friendly fuels are just one example

what he did was fuckin psychopathic. i dont care how intelligent he was when it came to certain areas (such as manipulation), anybody who has the capacity to commit genocide does not deserve to be called 'smart'

Hitler raised Germany to the zenith of power and then led it into the depths of utter misery. He and his corrupt henchmen including Goering, Goebbels, Himmler and the likes destroyed Germany and committed horrendous crimes against humanity. They led the world into a war and brought more misery and death all over the globe. People have admired Hitler for his personality, oratory, leadership, his indominable will and nerves of steel. But behind the facade of a magical personality loomed a demon with no regard for human life and an obsession to aryanize the planet by purging it of the untermensch. These are the most dangerous men. Men who seek power not for power or money's sake. But men who seek power to implement their muddled philosophies which bring death to other people. There is no need to glorify such men. They are the true satans of the society.

I know quite a bit about Hitler's Germany. I was interested in this topic at one point of time. Have read a few books on World War and Nazi Germany, the most notable being "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" by William Shirer. It gives a fascinating account of Hitler's rise to power and the inner workings of Nazi Germany.
