detox....... sounds tragic. ive always been a fan of my diet, red meat, milk (at least 2 litres a day), cheese, good quality italian sandwich meats, only vegetables that can be cooked on a bar b q.... and every now and then, chef boyardee beefaroni... guilty pleasure. wash that all down with a few beers, and then screw the gym. sexercise ftw....
'Detoxing' is one of those buzzwords that really annoys me...it was probably invented to sell books to idiots who buy into all this shite.
Most people with an ounce of common sense know what foods are good and bad for them...you shouldn't need some gonk with a PHD to tell you.
Day One:
 30 crunches upon awakening
 300 mg iron w/ 500 mg vitamin C
 one banana
mixed fresh vegetables (green/red/orange peppers, baby carrots, celery, cherry tomatoes) 0.436 Kg
 three plain rice cakes
 one green apple
two pieces of sugar free gum (completely helped subside sugar/coffee cravings)
half cup of live natural 1% yogurt
 three tablespoons of oats
 two tablespoons of honey
 four large strawberries
 fourteen whole roasted, unsalted almonds
0.184 Kg of Tilapia Fish, fresh
two bottles of Nestle Pure Life 500mL water
 one quarter lemon
 fourty green grapes
 300mg of iron w/ 500 mg vitamin C
 45 minutes of vigorous cardio
 30 crunches before bed
Observations: Eating easy to digest foods makes you get hungrier faster. My cravings for coffee and sugar were insane, but the gum really helped tone it down.
I was asked to go to the bar tonight with a friend, and I declined and explained why. She laughed. Seems like people don't take these things very seriously.
Fuck em
P.S. To the previous post... no doctor told me to do this, this was a choice I made on my own because I wanted to clean out my body. Kthx

Everyone is supposed to be that responsible about what they eat. You should be counting too.

I was talking to my mom about this over supper tonight and she says, good job. She told me it was something everyone should do once in a while......so then I ordered chocolate cake.

What evidence is there that such a regimen will "cleanse" one's body in any significant way?
Normal, healthily functioning bodies eliminate waste (unneeded and possibly hazardous stuff) every day without the need for special diets.

Eating salads also cleanses your body.

Actually it does cleanse the body if eaten that much. The nurtrients in the salad are good for your body.
...and when I eat them I eat them alone with a little bit of chicken on top (sometimes).

| Originally posted by MrJiveBoJingles I see. The article does not link to any studies, although it does link to a "quack watch" site disputing the claims made in favor of "detox" diets. Anyway, the diet you adopted seems to have nothing obvious wrong with it, so I suppose the whole thing is a harmless diversion at worst. [As far as "acne cures" (mentioned in the Wikipedia article) go, I have found the most effective remedy to be very intense exercise like sprints or weightlifting. For some reason I have clear skin if I do these regularly, although I have no idea how that might work.] |
Maybe, but I find that doubtful since even if I run outside in the winter (while sweating very little), it seems to work.
We'll you'll be in tiptop shape. So did any pics get taken today?
lol, according to your plan or whatever, all i eat are toxins. LOL.
well, maybe not everything, but most of it i suppose.
