Honestly people, you cant expect to able to camp a friggin fire escape smoking your cigarrets, eventhough y'all are all higher than a fire escape its no excuse to be putting peoples lives in danger (and i am not talking about the music, crappy crowd or bad drugs) As if that place wasnt dangerouse enough already!
P.S I do it, they say i am killin it, the look on my face mean i am feelin it, just like the homies i be chillin with, I dont care who and in the buildin with.
THIZZ DANCE .... THIZZ DANCE ..... CAN YOU DO THA THIZZLE DANCE?

The son of a gun mayor we have here in mtl, not only does he start shutting down parties, but my friend at the city tells me they are starting to give more tickets for parking, as per their new policy.
On top of paying 2 dollars for 40 min downtown they re giving out more tickets...
WTF
ITS all about the $$$$ you think they care about our lives.
I think Montreal has finally caught onto the money making idea Toronto did many years ago with Street Parking... too bad!
Montral Monday April 2nd 2007 Stereo was visited by the fire department in the night of march 31st. Noticing a greater number of patrons than the legal capacity, the fire department decided to shut down Stereo and to prevent it from reopening for the day.
The management wants to extend its thanks to the patrons who were very cooperative and we wish to apologize sincerely for all or any inconvenience.
Although information has been released to the effect that the department acted following a complaint, there also seems to be new measures in place to conduct regular operations to ensure that all clubs and restaurants in Montreal operate by their exact capacity in 2007.
Historically, the vast majority of clubs in Montreal have been operating at 2 or sometimes even 3 times their legal capacity over the years without posing a threat to security. And that has been especially true for the last few years since the department considerably reduced the capacity of many establishments such as Stereo. In the case of Saturday, Stereo was very far from those numbers and circulation was still fluid within the club.
If there is a real political will to enforce legal capacity within all establishments as some are indicating, Stereo will gladly respect the rules to the tee. Injustice is set when the level of tolerance varies from one establishment to another. Uneven application of the law creates an unfair competitive advantage by drastically affecting ratios of profitability.
Stereo is by no means affiliated to illegal activities and makes a constant effort to act as a good citizen by respecting rules and regulations while many establishments keep breaking a good number of rules with impunity.
Contrary to most, Stereo is a collective of artists operating for other purposes than generating a profit. The world class institution is a haven for artists to express their art on one of the worlds best sound system and for our guests to experience a truly unique immersive experience on the dance floor.
Management has taken the necessary means to replace the event for the fans that came to enjoy David Morales all night long and celebrate the 8th Anniversary of La Vie en Stereo. Details will be released as soon as they become available. The business model will also be modified to operate based on legal capacity while we enter the necessary process to increase our legal capacity.
Rest assured that Stereo is determined to make it up to the fans who have been disappointed that night and that the whole team welcomes this challenge to further improve the business processes, to accelerate the financial turnaround process that was just entering its third and last year and to deploy development strategies that were originally planned for 2008.
Stereo will actually flourish faster for the benefit of its patrons thanks to this deplorable incident that will in fact act as a catalyst for the next segment of the business development strategy of Stereo and its subsidiaries.
Additional information will soon be available on our web site at www.stereo-nightclub.com.

lol
In all seriousness, I was an intern for a few months at the Ottawa Citizen and studied print journalism and other stuff, so yeah, press releases aren't too difficult to me. Whoever wrote that did lots of consulting with Stereo ppl (obviously). Agreed, it was well written, very clean and concise with good flow, good transitions.
