nah. in cold/snowy weather i wear my Doc Martens. if it's a little nicer i wear some cute Candies suede flats. and in the summertime all i wear is sandals and flip-flops.

i've just never been big on sneakers. the other ones i own are more for running and they're just way too sporty/casual and they don't match with a lot of my clothes. i hate when my shoes don't match my outfit, so i try to stick with really plain simple styles that look good with anything.

Posted by Frenchie on Apr-30-2007 16:54:

Ohh, cool cool!!

I'm a sneaker person 100%. I mean, I wear flip flops in the summer sometimes when it's just too damn hot for sneakers. It was only when I started working at my job 3 years ago that I had to wear really nice shoes and stilettos. If I could wear sneakers here, and get away with it, I so would.

lol some people collect sneakers like baseball cards, to tell you the truth, i know a bunch of well paid entrepreneurs who have made a successful business as well as profit from selling in the exclusive sneaker market.

Playstation 3 Air Max 90 - 2 of 25 - sold for $4,530 on the site I work for

My wife just bought a pair of these... at Costco of all places ($50).

i wouldn't say any of the AIR MAX lines are hardly functional since they are running inspired sneakers. From the earlier generations to the air bag replacement of foamposite soles to the later generations of Air Max 360 run on air soles, i find to be HIGHLY functional to say the least. So much so that you see the trends FOLLOWED by the likes of New Balance, Puma, Asics, etc.

My only gripe about Nike (Air Max Line) is although they are stylish and comfortable, they are way too heavy for a true 'runners/trainer' sneaker. I prefer Asics Gel Lytes or Nike Tailwinds (Talarias) for running/training. Lifting and working out I wear comfort sneakers that support my ankles like the Air Max 90 which is ultra comfortable and is a mid-high top sneaker thus offering more support to the ankles then most think.

I wouldn't say something isn't functional until you've tried and tested and even then, preference in function depends on the activity you participate in

Well as a woman I do that on occasion. As for the men..why can't they share where they got what they got? Jesus it's shoes, you wear them don't you? You would like to know about nice sneakers and such? Why not share here when there could quite possibly be a handful of people who have the same taste as you.

Wow really? They're everywhere here. If there's a Puma Store somewhere near you they'll most definitely have them.

I love my AM90s for running around at work but never for actual running .... the soles are so freaking weak it pisses me off to no extent

Yes, really really.

There is a puma store not too far from me which I was at last week and I didn't see those.

Hmm weird. Could be because they're from last year's line maybe? I don't like the direction Puma is heading right now. Last time I went in everything looked cross trainers and golf shoes

K(ool) Swiss(full stop)

Posted by lcid on Apr-30-2007 17:25:

those black/white Pumas are ugly as piss, imo. i don't understand how they became sooo popular and trendy that a bunch of random generic shoe companies had to make knock-offs of the same style.

Posted by Frenchie on Apr-30-2007 17:31:

lol! Most puma shoes are ugly to a lot of people. I like those black/white ones because of how they are made on the bottom. The grip is perfect.

Come to think of it, most of the shoes I use for dance are "ugly" to most but they're probably the most comfortable I have.

i personally dont think they look ugly on...
it was such a design that everyone thought, whoa they are different and became hugely popular in oz... then they released all different variations of colours in the same style...

As i mentioned previously they are the most comfy shoe to wear/club in...

Thanks. I think I might get a pair. They look just too comfortable to pass up.

I don't think they're ugly or any of mine are ugly but out of all the people I dance with most of them wear Nike or Reebok. The reason why my closet is full of Puma and why I only wear it now is because I did a dance choreographing job and the person was/is sponsored by Puma so his PR people gave me pumas for a year free so I've just come custom to their fit on my feet. This was 4 years ago and I haven't looked back since. ( I still have some not even opened yet )
