Went to see it last night with my girlfriend, and gotta say, it didn't live up to the hype but it was enjoyable nonetheless!

I can't stand people who talk during films, especially when I paid just under 10 a ticket to go and watch it, and everyone is talking, gah, it REALLY annoys me!

Posted by Jason Donavon on May-05-2007 13:45:

That film was so, so cringeworthy.

What angers me the most was the Mary Jane/Peter thing. What a tart MJ is. It's okay that she's allowed to break the heart of her ex, but then Peter has one innocent kiss and she's being a complete trick. What a stupid fucking whore. If I was Peter, I would have just binned Mary, and gone after the hotter Gwen. I would divide her piss flaps and square root her hole.

And what's with the whole cringeworthy fight scenes? Like before one big fight scene, Spider-Man is posing alongside a CGI American flag? How fucking pretencious. And finally, Spider-Man tries saving Brock. Idiot. Can't you see Brock fucking hates you? Dick. I would have just let him die. Fuck Brock.

The whole "I forgive you for killing my uncle mate LOL" saga was also just cringeworthy.

Still, it was better than Spider-Man 1.

that was one of the scenes i almost laughed out loud. and as he came flying in, thousands of people are CHANTING HIS NAME, pointing huge flashlights, giving cheesy-ass comments like ''wicked cool'!! (?????)
THERE'S A FUCKING 200 FOOTED MAN MADE OF SAND WHO S PISSED OFF, RUN YOU ASSHOLES.

well sorry to go against all this negative feedback but i actually loved it. there were those moments i agree wernt all that flash and were soap opera like but the rest made up for it.

people have way to high expectations. i will be going to see it for a 2nd time.

the aunt is like a mother to him and hence holds great influence.
the person who commented about him crying. well wouldnt you ball your eyes out if you lost your best friend. i know i would, especially if he/she sacraficed their life for you.

I liked it. Spider-Man and Green Goblin tag team? Hell yes!

Posted by emc^2 on May-07-2007 16:56:

Thumbs down

I thought it was friggin awful.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I can't believe I spent $16 on my Imax ticket to watch this crapola!

It was just horrible. It was like watching a train wreck - it's horrible but some morbid curiousity keeps you watching. Acting was non-existent, characters were so 1-dimensional than drawn stick figures would have more personality than these "actors".

Don't take your kids to see it either. My 5 year old was friggin out over Venom and Sandman... Unlike previous 2 installments that were bearable, this one wasn't.

Oh, and I CAN'T FRIGGIN STAND CHRISTEN DUNST! Who picked this buck-toothed ugly skank as a "star"? She is soooooooo bland, I wouldn't hit it even if I was drunk and out of options. Gah! Watching her protruding teeth on an IMAX screen (seated front row, mind you) was more scary than watching Venom's grin. ewwwwww. Oh, and I could see every zit, nick, and piece of brocolli stuck between actors' teeth on that big screen. Ugh...... watching Tobey and Christen kiss, right after seing the zit under Tobey's lip made me throw up a little.

BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD. save your money, see something else. Don't believe the hype.

Bottom line - STAY AWAY, IT'S A FRIGGIN SOAP OPERA.

I didn't like it. I wasn't going to go see it n theaters to being with but my friend wanted to so I was like, "ah what the hell, why not". I'm not a huge Spidey fan to begin with but I thought it was awful. I like the 1st two, especially the first one and it could have stopped there if they extended it a a bit.

...a very enthusiastic High5 and splendidly deserved "+Mothafugin 1" goes out to you with my compliments!

Hell, I'd rather watch "TIC" 5 times and his tour promotional video 20 times in a row than re-watch this crapfest again.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. oh, sorry I already said it. Well, at least I wasn't the only one booooing at the movie theater.

p.p.s. I didn't think that anyone could make me cringe about being American more than G.W. Bush. Congrats Sam Rami, you made me feel even more embarassed to be American than G.W. - way to go by combining spidey + american flag! wow, what a way to douche up your movie!

LOL

Uh, hello? Spiderman is AMERICAN. And comics have ALWAYS mirrored current events, and have typically been pro-American.

/threadjack

Fact: Living in America and calling your "roommates" as "flatmates" is DOUCHY : unless you're trying to pass for pseudo-brit

Fact: Cheese is Cheese. If you have a cheesy acting, no amount of premise is going to save it from stinking like Formage left rotting in the sun.

Fact: This movie sucks elephant, NAH, GIANT MAMONTH-sized schlong HARD.

This movie was sooo ghay, they're going to cut it up into 25 minute installments and re-box it as "Sex in the City - male in spandex edition"

So, with all due respect Ben, BELIEVE ME when I say IT SUCKED.

yah. no doubt. tho, given the current political situation and world sentiment, I'd say that waving an american flag ain't going to get too many folks in the audience cheering "YOU ESS EII! YOU ESS EII!"... even in US... Capisce?

BTW, the whole scene with "bad" spiderman + scene @ the Jazz club, when Spidey goes for "My chemical romance Emo kid" look and then gets all jazzy - had me thinking of "The Mask". At any given moment, I was expecting Spidey to pull "Smoooooooookin'" line. This must have been the inspiration:
