Fine, instruments are fine. But keep the vocalists away. They are a WOW factor for sure, but more of a "WOW, what a way to fuck up the flow of the event" factor...lol

| Originally posted by in2muzikk Well, I think it works like this: Las Vegas has no rules! Saw Tiesto there once at club ICE and he played from 3:30 to a little after 8 a.m. LA has rules, lots of rules, and even the rules have rules... I believe that any event held at the Sports Arena is considered a "concert" (same as Cher's beyond farewell tour, Britney Spears, whatever). The rules, as I understood them when researching why TIC-LA was only 4 hours in 2005, were that a "concert" could only be 4 hours in length. Oh yeah, and Holland definitely has no rules! DJ's like Armin and Tiesto can have 6,8,12 hour sets, the sky seems the limit. Of course, they sell out 30,000 capacity venues with these DJ's in 2 hours or less and usually this happens for 2 nights in a row! If it didn't rain so much, I'd probably move there! |
TIC-LA in 2005 ended at 2 a.m., that's why the afterparties were so outa control. I'm guessing it will be the same this year also, unless some law changed or something. Checking Giant and Ticketmaster's websites, it only shows "9 p.m." Usually if a show is going to be long, they advertise it.

Insomniac throws parties at the SA and those go til 4. Why cant they do it for this?
Who promoted TIC in 05? Was it Tiesto and some sponsor who dont have "pull" with SA like Insomniac does?
Can Insomniac/Giant pull it off to go past 2?

That 4 hour law is a lie. There's plenty of concerts at the Sports Arena that last way more than 4 hours. Just last Sunday there was a spanish concert for 5 de Mayo that lasted from 11am til' Midnight. Whoever told you about that law lied.

so is this concert supposed to sell out ???
can someone find out how long TIC is going to be...i dont want to drive all the way to LA if the party ends @ 2am. it would be nice to have a 9-4 TIC show.

| Originally posted by element-y Live is the best. Especially with the violins and the drummer and vocals - even if the vocals arnt great live. Armin for example with the guy who plays the keyboard is out of the world. and same goes to violins like with ferry and shit at sensation. notice how electro music is slowly becoming more live at shows now. Carl Cox said next years ultra will be a live act aswell. Live makes it real - not just studio work. |
Live is awesome....
but not when Jes sings
hahahaha....
All those questions are making me
Oh and the show has been cancelled!
j/k
So anyone know how long this event will go till?? I was about to buy tickets until I saw the BS about ending at 2am...
But how can they be promoting a 6hrs set and then only give us 4hrs??
i went to the last TiC in LA:
VIP entrance took longer to get into than the general admission, was impossible to get anything from the bar, took half an hour to get through the line. definite waste of money.
general admission also had cheaper seats that were reserved in the balcony per seat number (but everyone was raving and so the assigned seats went to shit). i figure they're doing what goventures and insomniac events does which is have free roaming tickets for everything, people can go to the balcony seats and leave whenever they want. tons of people chill up there anyhow.
neither line gave me any crap about bringing in my digital camera, infact almost everyone there had one, i saw a crazy amount of 2 inch LCD screens throughout the night haha.
