Then again it depends on the human you're talking about. I've met people who I would say are less intelligent and conscious than an ape.

I'm thinking macro, you're thinking micro. Exceptions to the rule do not adherently deny the basis of the rule itself.

and you don't know me!

Posted by Slylee on May-15-2007 16:51:

i'm just saying...u can't make that generalization in a situation like that. you're judging human nature more than a specific country's society...i think, right?

while i agree that we aren't the most popular country and i myself am ashamed of our media and younger generation, i still feel the need to stick up for my country when people say something like that.

Its just like Americans to assume that when someone says "America" theyre talking about the United States.

Just kidding.

Posted by Slylee on May-15-2007 17:06:

i honestly did make that assumption. i know that north america consists of canada u asswipes , but since she's canadian, i just figured she was bashing americans only. my bad.

Posted by Ang ' ela_ie on May-15-2007 17:16:

ROFL, not just Americans do it, Canadians do it as well. I went to high school with this really stupid girl and I mean really really ditzy, stupid, lack or common sence type of stupid. Anyway..in grade 8 we had Canadian geography but did one chapter on The United States. Well when the teacher would talk about "America" She'd ask, " Now..are we talking about North America like Ny, Maine, Minnesota, Ohio, North Dakota blablabla or are we talking about South America like FL, Texas, Utah, Nevada, Louisiana?" The teacher just stood there dumb founded until she'd say something like, " No Emma, South America is Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Colombia ect. just like the last time I told you.

I remember throwing my eraser at her once. I got 1 week detention for it but it was worth it.

hahaha props to her for having no shame though in asking the question in public.

You think that's bad, I once worked with this complete idiot who thought that ontario was part of the united states. (mind you she was from here and had lived here all her life)

No , no shame if it was thefirsttime she asked it. I mean I would think that being in grade 8 you would know the difference between North and South America, after all we learned about all continents, all countris and capitals in grade 6 and 7.

Okay, I think its quite obvious what Im saying but Im going to take the time to type it out anyways.

Her screaming woke me up. I looked out the window to see what was going on. Then I went outside, by which time he was driving away.

Posted by Ang ' ela_ie on May-15-2007 18:05:

Frenchie I would have thrown something at her, too.
