the RedBull truck lives in my neighborhood. also the Rehab oh Wheels Mobile.
My street is full of $2+ million dollar townhomes, condos, and a few apartments.
The street behind me is a shithole.
Welcome to the city.

My neighborhood is pretty much upper-middle-class. Everyone used to be really friendly, but most of the people around us ended up moving out, and I think we're one of the oldest residents at 20 years (yeah, I've lived in this same house my whole life).
Right now, one next door neighbor is this incredibly overweight lady with two kids who never gets out of the house and a husband who's a stereotypical MS nerd who hasn't seen sunlight in ages. The other next door neighbor is a family of four with a hot yet extremely bitchy wife, a really cool seven year-old kid and a newborn daughter. The husband has always spent the fourth of July with us instead of her sister (who's family lives two houses down) because he prefers to be active as opposed to sitting around and just drinking.
Across the street is one house that's inhabited by a single male, one house with a family of three with a sexist husband, and another with incredibly liberal yoga/vegan/Buddhist/Free Tibet couple who's wife has a history of hitting on me.
Aside from those weird people, the entire neighborhood is really cool, calm, and clean. The people here are great.

| Originally posted by UWM Last weekend my roommate and I were sitting out on our back parking area / concrete slab behind our building (inconsp/tbills would know what I mean) and a woman who lives up the street drove by us in the alley in her big black Range Rover. She stopped and rolled down the window and asked us, "If you boys get hot sitting out in the sun you're more than welcome to come take a dip in my pool. The nanny might be around but just open the front gate and walk around. I'll be home all afternoon. Are you guys normally free during the daytime?" I totally should have hit that. She was hot, too. |
I live next to a soup kitchen and across the street from one of the most popular bar/pizza joints in the neighborhood. Its loud, its obnoxious, ocassionally dangerous, but totally worth it.

| Originally posted by UWM Vanguard is the shit. Their sound is unbelievable. I was talking to the booking agents / staff of our biggest local club and told them how shit the sound was in Chicago and asked if they had looked into upgrading it at any point, and they said to put in anything comprable they'd be spending near $250k. Insane! |
