I was so so so very stoked for this party from the day i herd that eddie was comming back to Toronto, i couldn't wait too see Eddie again I think this time around he was way better then last year loved the tracks loved the energy just everything about his set was great. I'm so sad i wasn't around when eddie jumped into the crowed i was so looking forward to that. I dunno maybe my hearing is not as intune as some ppl's but i did not think his mixing was bad or off i thought he was a F***ing Ninja on the mixer!!!
This night has actually restored my faith in the Guv i really like the new renovations it gives the club a whole new feel and look but the the Dj booth is kina LAME but i love the location and i love the intimate feel you can get by being on the stage and watch the Dj mix.
Went to the gallery for a bit to catch Nathans set and he played a real dirty dirty set very Zoneish set and he totally made my night when he played John Dahlback - Blink witch has to be one all time favourite tracks after the Gallery was cleared out back to Guv for the rest of Mark Oliver and i have to say he followed suit with all the other DJ's with really impressing me i think this had to be the best set i herd from him in long time wasn't the usual Guv 5am sound. I didn't want this night to end stayed right to end and i haven't closed down the Guv in forever hope there are manny more great night this come Overall i had such BLAST!!!!! Great seeing everyone i love the warm reception i get form all the TOTA's you guys defiantly help make a night like extra awesome <3!! Overall 100/10

why do you think the post was uncalled for? because it had to do with other djs playing that night and not eddie halliwell? i believe this thread is more about the night in general and not just eddie alone, despite the title of the thread. if it was only for eddie then other people shit get bitched at when discussing about the renovations.

some people need to just chill out.

What a night- walking in and seeing the dj booth right in front smack in the middle was the first thing that i enjoyed- the renovations look amazing- completly turned the place around- the stage surrounding the dj booth as well as the extension outside the doors of the Drink are by far the best additions- lazers- a little insane- but hey, it is the guvernment and that is too be expected-

eddie- rocked- period one tune after a next- he had a great flow- i seemed to have missed the "trainwrecks"- he was spot on- the scratching, looping- he worked that room the way it should be- i have not seen such a happy dj before- glad i caught this famous crowd surf i have heard about...so full of energy and lovin' every minute of his time there- i will revisit when eddie returns...

barato in the gallary- incredible...as always- gave me my zone fix, without having to head over there-

then back to mark to close off the night- proper m.o. style- needed a little "dun de de dun de de dun...etc" but great ending to a grand reopening party- good times seeing everyone around and enjoying themselves--

wat a siksiksik night.....im killin myself for leaving early....
i think there going to have to closed down Guv again cause halliwell set that bitch on fire....
i really enjoyed his set....there were a few tunes i didnt really jive with...but thats usual....
and the renovations are fuckin killer...i love how theres space to chill upstairs b4 entering the drink.....
i found the skybar was pretty chilled out....even thou there were like 2 fights up there....
OVERAL EDDIE - 9/10
RENOVATIONS - 10/10(yes im rating them)

It was a nice Jam.. I enjoyed Eddie's set, but i dont think that i would go see him again. To be honest, i enjoyed Mark Oliver's trippy sounding "afterhours" closing set more then eddies banging trance beats. I realy like the new Mainroom feel. Originaly i went to skybar and as soon as i came down to check out the mainroom, I was hooked and couldnt leave till the place closed down

I was pleasently suprised that it wasnt that buzy in the mainroom, that was sick.

Beat it, lemming.

I meant what I said. I chose not to rip Halliwell, even though that is how I honestly felt - ask anyone who saw me there. Would you have preferred that I tell you how spectacularly boring that I felt his set was? Nothing against the guy, but his antics in the booth and the (predicatable) leap into the crowd were the only redeeming parts of his set, IMO. There, are you happy now? Have I fulfilled your arbitrary, commissioner mandated threshold of what is acceptable to post in a review thread and what is not?

I'm thrilled most other people had a great time. Honestly. Good for you/them. The vids look amazing. But like I said, Carlo and Nathan TOTALLY saved the night for ME. And at least 4 other people I was hanging out with. The Roaches were stellar, as always.

So deal with it.

ive seen more energetic crowds before on skybar compared this past saturday. seemed like everyone was at a funeral or something. people used to always pump their fists in the air to a good track (they loved doing it in the drink over the winter/spring) but once patio season hits, everyone's mood changes. all the guys are too busy staring at tits and ass that they forget that there is music playing and the girls are too busy standing around trying to look like supermodels. the only girls that dance are the ones that come on the stage but thats because they want the attention (but at least theyre dancing).
