True !!!!

it was a concert not just another gig at a club , shit i still cannot believe im defending tiesto hahaha
i had given up on him long time ago but i gotta admit , his performance at hammerstein blew my mind .

Show was Pretty Amazing, overall good crowd..his mixing was not dead on, but I dont think people really gave a crap...great to hear Sean Tyas Mix of Diary Of Jane...was great to see Jes...

I just said I was glad that peeps had fun and it was nice that Tiesto impressed!!!

Geez, maybe I should go back to just reading things and not posting anymore like I have been doing for the last year or so>

Now don't be silly I was not directing that at you anyway..just saying in general. It's nice to see you posting again tho

All these comments are great but still not enough for me to go see him just yet. I am not a fan of his productions either so the concert type things wouldn't go over well with me, may be a club gig where he isn't whoring all of his own productions will do.

Still thinking about it on monday morning!!

I don't post here too often but I was at Tiesto on Friday Night. Even thought his djing was not the best that night, the performance was awesome. This man is an entertainer. This was one of the best nights I have had since I started clubbing in 1998. The combination of venue, lights, effects, and music made it a great event. Also, the security wasn't too tight. They let people do their thing. I did not see any fights and the lines to get in were in order. Great job.

after all these great reviews... i was kinda confused when looking at the tracklist which is composed of nearly all his old productions. i was expecting a little more variety. kinda wish i caught the show though..

hai lee I am telling you it was the vibe!! The organization being on point helps, but I tell you, I havent felt that excited to be at a party in YEARS (maybe TW as an exception).
The whole crowd was just FELLING it, NO BULLSHIT ALL NIGHT!!.....and I know what made it for me, was filling the gaps with tech-trance-hard-pounding-shit, rather than anything fluffy (classics aside of course). Perfect night!

Posted by trancintaiwan on Jul-23-2007 21:08:

damn... sucks that i missed it then..

tiesto last th iny was the least impressive imo

with the exception of the visuals... overall showas
fun while the mixing was a joke... from time to time
2 ok tracks were played only to collapse into a sour
and most predictable cheese to the fan's delight

Posted by yankeeBaby on Jul-24-2007 03:03:

Sveta awesome pics lady!!! I love your outfit...sexy!!

colibri: as usual, your review is on the opposite end of the spectrum of 90% of the people's opinion. lol s'all good.

Man, I wish I could do that night again.

I want more pics, who has em?!?!

I was in the very front recording, right in the confetti. This was the one video my camera didn't save due to low battery power. Pissed about it

I don't know how anybody who went to this event couldn't have had a good time. The complete venue and vibe were amazing. The crowd was so diverse and every single person was all about having fun and dancing their asses off, even the people up in the seats.

IMO, Tiesto played a solid, fitting set for what the show was supposed to be. He was entertaining the whole time up there and really into the event. The best part about shows like this is that it get's tons of new people out and into the scene, progressing EDM in America further (which it desperately needs to be.) He truly is the marijuana of EDM, which is a good thing.

There's honestly not one thing I could complain about from Friday night. Anybody that is overly concerned about his mixing, selection, or mishaps, you need to learn how to have more fun with the music that you're given, or just get a few more drinks so that you stop noticing the flaws....

Killer night overall, wish I could do it over again.

Sad how people worry more about a trainwreck then the music that's being played

The only thing I hated about this event was the fact that some tickets sent people upstairs and you were NOT able to come back down for the entire duration of the show. Some bullshit that was. I was able to convince the guard to go downstairs.

Sorry if anyone had mentioned it before - the animation of Tiesto that was played between Jes' performance and Tiesto coming on live, was pretty funny IMO. Something different at least.
It showed him clapping, putting his hands in the air, pumping his fist, and all the other things he usually does to pump up the crowd. Some backflips and Matrix-like movements thrown in there too.

this is exactly what I said before this concert. After going Friday night, I am more sure than ever that I was right.

Party was amazing, music was amazing, people were vibing, the entertainment factor was undeniable (lights/fireworks/confetti/blue people). If you let a few bad mixing moments in the night overshadow the overall incredible energy of this concert, you need to get that 5 foot stick out of your ass and start enjoying life

Posted by Tiesto4Life on Jul-24-2007 17:35:

I have seen Tiesto many times in remote places of the globe and I gotta tell ya, this past friday, I have never seen a better Tiesto show in my life! Maybe any show for that matter! His elements of life tour is astonishing and i can't wait till he brings this shits to toronto. Oh and New Yorkers know how to party!
