Don't take it personally. everyone goes throught the "I'm in it for the music" phase. I did to, and I was a total douche bag for it.

Re: the website; It's never been up. I have it just for the email addresses.

Re: the sucking; while I do admit that I suck all around, In the past 7 years, I also happen to have promoted almost 200 weekly club nights, almost 80 one off events, done DJ bookings for a couple well known local artists who play all over North America, executively produced a commercially released CD, organized Canadian DJ tours for several well know International DJs and I've made some decent coin in the process! Considering I do it part time and i actually do it for fun, I think promoting is the one thing I'm not sucky at. everything else though.. I suck

hey man.. take it easy on the guy. beefcake is still a noob.

I frequently see this "the club industry is a business" argument on these boards. Patrons of these businesses shouldn't care about the profit motivations of the owners, they should only care about their experience. A customer's expression of their bad experience should not be discounted because, "the club industry is a business, and therefore you should accept things for the way they are." A business should be run based on customers' experiences, not the other way around.

I want to be the first one to say that this post should be made a sticky for this entire forum.

That on the other hand was the arrogant part that people are taking issue with.

I have no problem reading people's negative reviews of events at which I had a positive experience. Opens up my perspective and helps me see things I wouldn't see on my own. A post like this though is doing the opposite - imposing your own limited and narrow view on everyone else.

I made that review the night of and I was absolutely hammered and I apologize for that statement. I didn't realize how bad it sounded until the day after but didn't have the energy to change it. Bad idea.

Uhh.. you were way more harsh than him Jay. You called me a cocksucker, jackass and cry baby all in the same post.

AND you just called me beefcake which implies that I'm a gay meathead.

tsk tsk tsk. Cyber bullying is becoming a global problem. Don't add to the wildfire.

We ended up checking it out after partying at Muzik with some friend and it was a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad choice. I wanted to throw someting at that dented Luigi face of his and humiliate him. Wait, I guess he humiliated himself enough with that atrocious mixing and track selection. Plus, was it just me or was he high as a fucking kite,

Fuck him. I hope he goes to hell.

Let the craziness begin.

MAX GRAHAM AT TIL FTMFW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NICE!!! lol Totally at the last moment I opted out of the BB show in favor of hitting Max Graham. (as I couldn't do both) I'm so glad I called it right. In hind sight it was a no brainer. Max is going to steal it.

Its not just the TA community that is growing and tearing apart but the EDM community in general. I am glad the community is growing but there is enough people who will listen to whatever is popular for that moment and pretend they know everything there is to know about that music and then when something new becomes the must listen to music their EDM CDs are tossed away. Its part of a growing community....for every one person you have who will become a true EDM fan there are going to be countless others who will never listen to it again once the next fad comes along.

I agree with you 100%. I've loved EDM for years so when I see a DJ that I feel isn't worth the money I get upset and I will sometimes say stupid shit like I did here.

Oh, yea, and activate I'm glad that you've been successful promoting parties and I hope you continue that way but you have to understand that there are those of us who consider the music as the main attraction and they are not douchebags.

of course not.. and if i ever say that I hope you slap me.

I'm in it for fun! I enjoy going out, seeing freinds, dancing, drinking, socializing. The music is just one aspect of the whole experience that makes in enjoyable to me.
