damn im reading the whole thread and im surprised to see all this bitterness ....

feeling like some of you guys are jealous and i think there are no reasons to be jealous.
if u dont want to vote for rob okay fine , dont but what's the point to make a fuss about it ?

anyway i thought TA was more or less a community so instead of criticizing now the intention to be in the DJ mag when most of us do listen to rob's mixes ....

i dont get it ....

I've been asking myself the same thing.

Yeah, don't get your panties all in a bunch people. Maybe next year will be your turn to get voted onto the djmag poll by TA

exactly, usually people go online cause they are bored or there is nothing else to do. and while they are on they need to be entertained. This provides entertainment

i voted "rob turner" this year but i'm all for "dj pedobear" next year.

Posted by ChemEnhanced on Aug-16-2007 15:38:

it would be funnier to vote for someone who has never spun a record in his life.....get that person in the Top 100 and it will really show how sad the poll is.

Vote Moral Hazard

Rob Turner's people pay better. Or at least, they damn well better, or else I'm going to bust some internet caps.

that to me is impressive.

we're not ridiculing, we believe he's awesomer then PvD

Without meaning to sound unsupportive, I'm not voting for anyone this year.

But I still wish you best of luck.

Posted by Frenchie on Aug-16-2007 17:42:

LOL @ the people who won't vote. Is it against your religion? NO really, is it? OMG blablablabla I CAN'T VOTE blablabla...what did this DJ mag whateverness do to YOU?

OMG AN ONLINE VOTE, IM DOOOOOMED.

Posted by pvdAngel on Aug-16-2007 17:46:

lol

The only reason I'm not voting is because I'm growing out of EDM.

It is complete and utter bull shit.

It's nothing but a popularity contest.

I've wasted my votes in the previous years except when I voted for Mikey.

Boycotting or voting for Dj Pedobear is a perfect example how legit this rating system is.

Don't even get me started on the dj list

getting out would be a more appropriate way of saying it ? you growing out => we are immature idiots who continue to enjoy this shit music.

Posted by pvdAngel on Aug-16-2007 18:12:

'Growing out' of it feels more natural for me to say, imo.

It doesn't mean I'm dissing any of you lot. It's great that you still enjoy it and there's nothing wrong with it but some people (in this case, me) change including tastes. If I got into it a bit later, I'd still be enjoying it even to this day but I was introduced to it at an early age and I now feel like moving on to something else. Not because I have to but because I want to.

I'll still be into some of the classic stuff though but not much else.

/rant

Ok, but your "rant" hardly justifies the use of the term "growing out" instead of "getting out". When you say that you are "growing out", it means your musical tastes have evolved to a higher/finer levels, which seems to put EDM into a lower category of music, which in turn makes us look immature.
