They don't do the drugs to get high, they do drugs so they can get more energy to look after their family and houses and stuff. It's like on Desperate Housewives when she takes her kids ADD medicine so she can do more chores around the house...

Maybe that is their reason for 'trying' the drug but after that they are rationalizing. They do drugs to get high. Cleaning just keeps them busy while high.

anyone watching big brother will know AMBER used to be a meth addict..now shes 'clean' ..which is super rare to come by..so i wonder if shes actually 'clean' but anyways, she did meth so she could work two jobs i believe full time...day/night since shes a single parent...not an excuse but im sure thats a common reason..now if u go on youtube and watch live feeds of her you will see how BRAIN DEAD she is....you think shes slow when you watch the broadcast 3 times a week..thats all edited to show a bit of a smarter side to her...subscribe/watch you tube live feeds and prepare to LOL at her stupidness.........but sad.... :S

PS Meth is an epidemic in Australia also,kids as young as 15/16 smoke up, this stuff destroys lives.

Depends on if the user smokes the meth or rails it. Also there is a HUGE variation in the purity/high between ICE/glass and the yellow powder crystal meth.

The dirty yellow meth (crank) that would often be avail in 1 point gelcaps for $10, which is basically the dirty part of the batch is equal in price to cocaine $40 for a half gram, $80 a gram, etc.

Glass/Ice, or "the good stuff", is extremely pure, and expensive. $100-$120 a gram.

Not to mention the re-classification of it on Canada and lengthy prison sentences means much more $$$ than coke right now.

More likely he got stuck with simply a bad piil with a ton of shit mixed in like DM or DXM as well as dexadrine/methadrine/mdma/monkeyballs.

I used to use every weekend (never let my usage get higher than 1/2 gram every weekend, and managed to keep it to weekends and rails only). Crystal meth, no matter the form, will never be the MAJORITY narcotic in a PRESSED pill. It simply doesn't add up financially similar to that heroin is being used as the cut bullshit.

Either your buddy did a whole bunch of shit over a few days and never admitted it, or had the worst mishmash of chemicals in that one bad E listed above. Unless you smoke meth, you aren't up for more than 1-2days, and even then that would require 1/4 gram (2points) of injestion, more than that 1 pill would hold.

@ best there might be elements of the speed/methadrine family in the pill.

Quite a few pills indeed have amp/methamp in them. MDMA normally is not speedy at all, and will not make you want to jump around for hours upon hours.
Now, being sick from a methbomb for a week, that does sound a bit far fetched. Lack of sleep for a few nights more like it.

That's what I was alluding to. My point is the pill may have had part of the methamphetamine family in it, but it wasn't a "CRYSTAL METH" pill.

Like others mentioned the pills today are not true E/MDMA. He likely took something other than MDMA or crystal in it. Especially with the description of stomach problems and vomitting.

Perhaps he meant the pill was laced with it as opposed to comprised primarily of it. Even then the meth wouldn't have had such long-lasting and overt physical effects for the reported small dose. More likely he suffered some form of poisoning/toxic shock from the crap in the fake E, or he simply doesn't respond well/was allergic to something in it.

If there was something bad going around local messageboards (if this occured here) would have been @ least abuzz with mentions of it somewhere. Makes me think either the reaction was user specific if it wasn't more widespread @ the event attended since the pills were grabbed there. Or the guy took many different drugs and is BSing his friends, or the story has been (shock) exaggerated.

Yea, you totally got me - I made the whole thing up to seem cooler in front of you meth-heads. Obviously I can't say EXACTLY what was in it, unless we examined the contents of his stomach after.

P.S. The story wasn't exxagerated in any way because I was the one who took him to the emergency room, where he jumped the line of everyone cause of his condition. And the doc was pretty pissed at us for waiting this long to go because if it was any longer, he would have died. I don't know what was in it, and I don't know why it happened like it did, but the other people who we talked about this to, said that by the symptoms, it was meth. Sorry if I badmouthed meth, Mr. Skeptic.

I wasn't claiming the events of his illness and reaction were false (although I did allude the tale might be blown up a touch) but that it was possible he lied about what he took as there was a week inbetween the dose and the hospitalization.

Primarily though you certainly pulled this out of your ass.

Did you get a toxicology report (done by bloodtest genius, not pumping his stomach), other pills tested, or do the infamous scientific method of "well it sounds like it might be meth, thus IT WAS A PURE METH PILL". Also, drop the defensive sarcastic victim bullshit. Meth is a terribly addictive and crippling drug and no-where have I promoted it. I was lucky to keep my usage like I did my E usage, to weekends and out of my daily life. Others aren't so lucky.

What pissed me off about this was the blatant mis-information. I'm sure you'd agree that the a big issue with drug use in the scene these days is safe product, no matter what your tastes. You used to be able to ask what they dosed, what the stamp was, the kind of rush/roll/high.. it was a very communal aspect of shared knowledge (somewhat unintentionally) of what was safe.

The green CKs of 1999 were great, the ones from summer 2000 were bad and a lot of people were sick/overdosed etc.

The last 4 or 5 yrs, especially the younger and more mainstream the crowd, the question is never asked.. when it is posed 99% of the time people don't know the colour much less the stamp. If it's MDA, MDMA, the kind of high etc. People just pop and go.

It's not primarily a music culture anymore, it's a drug culture with some fancy lights and beeping music for a significant chunk of those out on a weekly basis.

I was gonna say...wouldn't they die from this? cuz one pill of meth...I can only imagine what they would go through and how long they would last...

It's a scary drug...but there are ppl who will do it once or twice and never touch it again..they'll get over it...so this leaves a lot more room for new users...where they think this can happen to them as well...I know a person that has done it and never went back to it...The risks are so high, I just don't understand why ppl are so stupid.

I'm lucky enough to have never experienced this, and lucky enough to not know ppl that use this drug...

A lot of the pills going around these days have meth in them... which totally sucks... One of the reasons not many people do not do pills anymore, and hence the price of pills dropping.... But dealers are pretty greedy these days thats why, they even cut K with a lot of shit, hence why I don't do that as often.
