+1

How does he react to real problems?

get a fucking grip tenaglia, you're about 10 years fucking past it anyway, the reason you have a no recordings policy is because your mixing is fucking abysmal. fuck off.

LOL @ tenaglia, i remember last WMC we went to see him twilo sunday morning, place was packed with shirtless gays dancing like peter pan, i was like WTF? then he starts saying on the microphone: GUYS, enough with the pics, this ain't Ultra music Festival in a rude way, so i was again like WTF, boring set, left within an hour. 50 dollars really bad spended. I'm not seeing tenaglia never again.

I'm assuming that Danny checked how the club was wired seeing how important this is to him, I'm wondering how they managed to grab a hifi recording of him?

I agree that he acted like a child in that letter, but he did have his contract broken and the club lied to him, plus the guy has always been that way-he never lets you take any pictures or video of him playing and doesn't let any recording be done.. so hes alittle arrogant but this doesn't take away the fact that the guy is still one of the best dj's around....

To be fair, if I looked like that...I would probably do the same thing.

Dear Friends,

I feel that all of you know by now that I am an easily approachable person.
I continually give out my e-mail address if any of you have any questions regarding a track I played, comments or suggestions, etc. etc. etc.
- [email protected]

But why do some people feel they have a right to publicly broadcast ME? -

It's truly unfair and extremely disrespectful to me, and any artist or person!

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ASK ME FIRST! And I wish people would! -
I think most of the time I would not mind, but there are some times that I get extremely upset because there are certain moments that were simply -
NOT meant to BE recorded!!

If people were unable to attend some events, then this is unfortunate. BUT -
The essence of what I am portraying CANNOT be captured on a distorted image and it GREATLY DIMINISHES what many of us that were there experiencing LIVE
as part of a magical and musical journey.

I know that there are many other Non Members and I will write a post for the MySpace page as well, but there are some of you here also that are doing this to me without asking my permission first.

So, I beg of you! PLEASE Allow me the first option to see any Video Images
that you may have taken at one of my events because I feel I have the right to decide if I (or my event) should be You Tubed, or Not? Don't you agree?

Place yourself in my shoes? Would you want to feel like you were under a microscope? How would you like it if I You Tubed You? -

Last thing is, many songs I play are special and dear to my heart.
If any of you want to know the name of a song, just ask me!
In most top DJ's contracts today, one of the first things on the list is:
NO RECORDING WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM THE ARTIST! Audio or Video!

This is where Bootlegs come from and almost all of us have been victims of this at one time or another (many several) and we have been LIED TO and promised (and agreed in contracts) .... yet, many still snuck a recording from either the amp room or a lightman's station, DJ booth #2 . . Whatever ......

I was recently recorded at the Monegros festival and I agreed to the first 10 minutes. They recorded more than one hour and played it on the radio in Spain! Could I sue? YES! Is it worth my time, money, and all my good energy being spent on such nonsense - NO! But I feel something needs to BE done soon amongst all of us DJ's soon to make a
STRONG STATEMENT together to say: PLEASE STOP DISRESPECTING US!

Sooooooooooooooo, there you have it. Now that I am done with that -

Back to the Love & Bliss from all of last weeks events. -

I will write a wonderful thread later on each event titled:
"MORE THAN A CONFERENCE" -

Ciao & Grazie,

I've heard the name before but never knew much about him.

What does he spin?

A better question is, "what doesn't he spin?"

i heard him once play a 10 minute diatribe on the pronunciation of "can i please have a cheeseburger" by a foreigner. not sure if it was related to the 'lolcat' meme or not.

I think the most hilarious part of this whole thing is watching a guy who ranted and raved about his, "ITALIAN BLOOD" and "BROOKLYN ITALIAN NATURE" doing something like that.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but for all those who are saying Danny is arrogant and unprofessional for writing such emails - if he had been calm and professional, this issue wouldnt be getting nearly the exposure it is.

by using such langauge and carrying on like he did, he guaranteed that it would become a massive issue on forums such as this.

if he had simply written an email to all his producer / dj buddies saying "I am very upset that someone recorded my set, this is who they are, I advise you not to deal with them" then we wouldnt be talking about it right now.

i take my hat off to him for attracting attention to an issue he is obviously passionate about

He also attracted tons of attention to the set that he's so upset was recorded. By sending out these childish rants, he's just increasing the exposure of the videos and recorded sets that he doesn't want people to access.

Since almost everyone else in the industry releases a set every once in awhile, I'm sure they don't think it's as big of a deal as what he'd like it to be. People aren't going to stop playing that club just because he says so. They're just going to watch out for this sort of thing when they do if they care.

Yes, hats off to him for attracting negative attention to himself. Most people see him as a tool because of it. You don't need to attract attention to a situation like this. If you want to fuck a club over you can do it quietly. This certainly wasn't the type of attention Tenaglia was looking for.

I wouldn't want a video of myself doing this floating around the internet either.
