As for body thing, i think most people (well at least most of the ones i talked to) are not saying her body in general is shit, just that if you don't yet have the body to prance around on stage in a bra and matching panties, then put on something a little less revealing and look like a million dollars!

I get what you are saying but people can only take so much criticizing. YOu can only act like you dont care for so long, and altough you need to have tough skin to be in this bizniz, its really hard to tell someone to "just deal with it" when she has to deal with it daily. Not ONE of us can say we know what it feels like because we arent in that position, so who are we to tell them to "suck it up."
And to say that the stresses of her own life, which are pretty severe to ANYONE: divorce, possibly losing her children, losing her career/fame, struglling with addiction, family issues all combined can lead to ANYONE's meltdown, let alone someone in the spotlight with everyone criticizing her. Yes, she made poor decisions, dont we all? And people cant change those decisions over-night, it takes time to work through that shit, and often people will fall down (ie: self-destructive behavior to cover the pain) before they realize that they need to fix whats wrong. She isnt gonna get over her failed marriage, etc overnight, and right now it seems she aint dealing with shit in the proper way. Most people will eventually get their heads outta their asses eventually. And trust me, I know people who go through the same of worse (and with less money), I AM a therapist, it IS my job and I understand peoples struggles with everyday shit.

Yes, she should have worn a different outfit, and YES her performance sucked to the nth degree, but seriously people need to leave this chick the hell alone, and ALSO realize that money doesnt always FIX emotional issues. People with money often have a herder time coping because they are used to having everything handed to them and when they are asked to go thru something HARD its often difficult to get them to commit.

And no, I dont feel like "boo-hoo britney", but I guess as working with people everyday with similar struggles, I can see that when all of this stress comes at once, I COMEPLETELY understand her erratic behavior (You would not believe how MANY people display similar behaviors in the midst of a breakdown), and realize that she is exhibiting defense mechanisms in dealing with her total metal collapse. Some people are just better with dealing with shit and she obviously doesnt know how to cope with her own shit at the moment. That doesnt mean the media/etc should make it worse, she is still a fakin human ffs, even if she is on another level than us "normal" folks.

She looked like she was doing pretty good in rehearsals, but then rehearsals are just that, not much pressure there. Still, if she wasn't ready, she should not have planned that big "comeback". As for the fact that the media should not make it worse... when you are in the public eye, you will deal with criticism for everything you do. Even if she had pulled off a flawless performance, someone would have found something bad to say about it. That's what happens when you become a performer: people expect things from you, and when they don't get it, shit hits the fan. She knows this, has been dealing with it since she was much younger, and the 10 steps back in her career she took last night did not help. The media is not going to be nice about it, a lot of people felt let down in a major way, it sucks but that's life. Probably another thing she's going to have to deal with.

I don't have much respect for her but i feel sad for seeing someone who was a good entertainer crash and burn that way. I myself never bought into the hype, but my little sister worshiped Britney and i know that she was very disappointed that her former idol was not up to par and ended up proving a lot of haters right.

Britney should stick to being a mother to her boys and try to get her life back on track properly before coming out again. I'm fairly sure she could do it, god knows her following is big enough.

^^thats exactly right, she needed to get her mind (and body) right before she made her big comeback. I am wondering if, she had under her contract, that she needed to come up with another album in a certain amount of time or something, because it doesnt seem logical to make a comeback at this point in her life.

But, just to reiterate, as a clinician, I have seen first hand money does NOT help very *much* in working thru emotional issues. Can they pay for a more luxurious rehab? yes. Does a poor person and a rich person feel the same pain when going thru a depression/addiction/divorce/etc? Yes, and that is the key., because no matter the money, people still feel similar emotions in similar circumstances.
Making a comeback mentally is a lot more about the support you have, and it seems that britney doesnt have a lot of support except for her partying "friends". And again, I have seen people with money struggle a lot more in comparison when they have to work thru stuff, because they are so used to everything being "fixed" and "taken care of" for them.....and when they realize that emotional issues cant be bought they often resort to self-destructive behavior, acting out, and more appetizing ways coping with it (ie: ignoring it)..... rather than putting the work in to changing it. (of course I am not meaning to generalize, but I have seen it MANY times in my experience).

anyways I have never really liked the girl, so putting so much time into writing about her is not my intention, I just am at work and thinking like I am at work lol. I just feel bad for the girl in a certain sense.

i feel sorry for u ppl that u actually share some sympathy for her, must be a female thing? or maybe not, since alot of females are realisitc and knows shes an idiot as well
