Whoever that fuckin resident DJ is in the Hippodrome (in Leicester Square, London) ... what a complete wank stain ... the dude is determined to mix like one half a trance track into half a garage track and then some shite US vocal house and then some R&B, all in the space of like 10 minutes, and then starts off again ... aaarrrggghhh its appalling to listen to, you couldn't even try and dance to it either no matter how caned you are

He played my GradNight last year (Shut the FUCK up, lol) and he played hiphop for about the first hour of his set. Which is cool, cus most high school seniors like hiphop, spin to please. But he faded into dance music, and faded well at thet. I'd say about 25 people out of the several thousand there even noticed they were dancing to Trance by the end. The guy scratches alot cus thats what the crowd enjoys too, and when he does it, it's done well. He's pretty good.

And Johan is nice too. Can't mix top notch, but doesn't always play "cheese", iight sets.

Worst DJ in the world is the DJ that was at the first club I ever went to when I turned 18. He played poppy dance shit that no one liked. The second DJ that came on was the best hiphop DJ I've ever seen. But that first one actually had people walking OFF the dancefloor. yeah, lol.

You must have gotten lucky. I actually PAID to see Skribble @ Glow in Washington, DC and he was playing utter crap that I can't even classify. Certainly not trance.

But you're kinda right, and that's what I hate about this scene, they don't put ANY efford in getting some hot trancy tunes, the crowd likes too much hardtrance-progressive stuff here. I don't like that. And they don't put any efford in getting unknown, hot tunes, no way, they just grab what's new in the stores and that's it. Time for a little change..

I think all those idiot djs which are only going for the money are BAD. those mfers don't think about the music, just about a fucking happy melody, a nice beat, some idiot vocals. and then they get into the hitparades, those people only produce cheap things. sucking dj's --> DJ Boozywoozy, DJ Jose, G-Spott, DJ Melvin, Gigi D'Agostino, and all those other bastards who produce those same shit.

That's because the swiss hardtrance sound is very popular in Norway.DJ Jamie from Norway(who played @ Street Parade last year) has made a name for himself there for instance.Goliath has been held in Oslo a couple of times(with Noise,Blackmail,Angy Dee and Pure for instance),and the record stores in Norway are overflowing with lousy Goliath or Goliath-related compilations. I've listened to quite a lot of them,and they have NEVER contained more than 1-2 tracks that are of any quality IMHO.

Now I'm obviously biased since I hate hardtrance(not all,I like some of the things from S.H.O.K.K,Cosmic Gate,Hennes & Cold and Scot Project),but I also have knowledge to the German scene(which in some ways share certain characteristics with the swiss scene),and it is just as bad there.(my dad is German and he's got acquaintances there,so I visit Germany quite often)

it depends . . alot of the big DJs dont mix with 2 turntables anymore. A lot of times, they may use a cd player to add their own high hats, mess around with the effects, use a third table, and on top of that, still beatmatch everything together and still concentrate on phrasing everything properly. whew

not many ppl respect DJ Bad Boy Bill, but hes a house dj that mixed with 5-6 turntables dropping a record every 15 seconds and scratching throughout the cd. Carl Cox is known to pimp at least 3 tables sometimes.
