Koh Tao was great. My place in Koh Phangan is a little remote for my liking, but given the time of year, beggars can't be choosers. It's a gorgeous resort, just not ideal for someone travelling alone.

Truth be told, I'm about ready to go home....I don't know how people do months and months of travelling. I guess I am more of a homebody than I thought!

i'm sure it's just 'cause you're doing it solo and not with someone. Are you feeling home sick or just not enjoying it as much as you thought?

tempoman... can you let me know how you got from place to place? I'm looking at the same general trip... Bangkok to Chiang Mai, possibly to Laos > Cambodia > islands > back to Bangkok. I've got from Feb 1 - 24th basically... thinking of getting back to Bangkok Feb 20ish to spend last few days in around there.

I've been able to find cheap flights (~$50) from BKK to Chiang Mai but to Laos and then onto Cambodia and then islands it's not so easy.

The only airline that flies to Koh Samui is Bangkok Air.

Yes those are the islands I was referring to. Yea seems flights into/out of Cambodia aren't as easy either. I need a personal travel advisor to let me know the best way to go to the places I'm interested in seeing lol - which I'm pretty flexible on but would be nice to see north Thailand, Angkor Wat and the Gulf islands and back to Bangkok area to see that all in about 24days.
