Spoken like a true poutine noob.

hahaha, i was once in a gondola going up a ski hill with some quebecers; they were making fun of their american friend saying "poo-teen"... quite funny... "poooooooo-teeeeeeen" (+southern accent).

Please don't draw out the vowels... I tried to type it phonetically but ended up writing pou-tine...

Best poutine ever IMO:

I'm pretty sure I've been there, but if that was indeed the place I was thinking of, then I was extremely drunk every single time I went, which makes my memory very fuzzy. But those street names pretty much confirm it, and I must say that is indeed pretty damn good poutine (as far as my drunken perception could tell).

Looks disgusting as hell, but I'd totally try it, because I'd probably like it.

(That's what she said)

(I'm sorry.)

well i love cheese. I'm a cheese fa-reak!

But the gravy must make it uber mushy. I dunno. I'm not a big fan of mash & gravy either.

Plus oil from the fries. I just can't see myself trying to eat it.

I don't eat cheese fries anymore. Can't remember the last time I had em.

the trick to poutine not turning into mush is well done twice cooked fries and the curd cheese which is squishy and has a slightly rubber like texture which makes it melt but still stay solid.

i would kill for a real one right now.

there's no s in poutine, its sound like poutsine when said really fast, but its poo tin. the tin is as in "tin can".

Best poutine: La Banquise

3 amigos + extra green peppers.

French Fries
Gravy
Cheese
Fresh green peppers
merguez in dice
hot dog in dice
other sausage in dice.....

omfg heart attack!!

The best poutine hands down comes from casselman ontario. there is a small chip waggon beside the St Albert's Cheese factory (the makers of the legendary curd) and this chip waggon / casse crout gets fresh cheese curd right off the line and serves with your choice of 3 homemade gravies (white, beef, and chicken) and two choces of fry cut curly (tourbouillon) or straight cut. for the true affectionado, for an extra 5 dollars you can add chunks of grilled fillet mingion to the top of your pooot.

I have eaten poutine in every possible corner of this end of the country from Temisk to montreal, to quebec, to ottawa and beyond. and none (save chez mimi in ville marie quebec) even come close to the chip truck in casselman.

side note: it always seems to taste better when it is served in cardboard or styrofoam containers. it just doesnt feel right eating it out of propper dinner ware.

You may be French, but you're still wrong.

Quebec makes the best Poutine, therefore we get to decide how it's pronounced and it's pronounced : "Puts-in", that's as close of a written explanation can get

Poo-Teen is the American/Rest of Canada way of saying it, it's also fail.

Anyways, ya, Poutine is good, just don't go for the damn "Italian" poutine or whatever the fuck that's called... Just tomatoe sauce instead of gravy or something, gross.

I asked my doctor what he thought of poutine and he said 8 out of 10 doctors reccomend it if you want to live over 100. He also says it makes your dick bigger and your vertical higher, so

I know, right? Who would even want to own that worthless bunch of hipster-douchebag-pussies known as the French to begin with?

It's like an entire country run by m_nus.
