Yeah it was, except there was a 2 hour line-up cause there were like 4 guys searching 7000 people (shoes off, socks off, etc.) and it was 40C inside Jarry stadium. It was so humid that condensation was dripping from the ceiling!

Still a great party though

Posted by KrinKer on Sep-07-2007 00:03:

best ever party imo ...

Posted by zeKsg on Sep-07-2007 02:18:

I like both trance and house, but honestly house gets annoying after awhile and you just wanna fly away to trance.... I mean I went to sensation from like 12pm and was there till 11pm.... I mean there was doping but.... who cares even tho everything hurt the next day and ringing in the ears was till around 4 days after... It was still freaking awesome and I loved it.... I honestly do think that Armin did play his set a little too loud at times, but I'll remember to bring earplugs next time

And for all those who say that if you play a lot of house and don't play trance much that means that a lot of people won't go cause I know a shitload of people that went there just because of the trance(Armin etc...). I love house a lot but honestly you can not just make a party mostly house... I would not waste my new years going to that

Posted by Spin Laden on Sep-07-2007 02:47:

lots of househeads started off listening to trance, that's no secret here. It's a natural progression, imo, as several house djs play trance tracks in their sets anyways, (or trancey-sounding house tracks ... as well as techno).

But in feeding off the dancefloor, those djs also keep those epic trancey breaks to a minimum, keeping the crowd's feet moving in the process. They may even use trance during crowd interaction or for setting up those monster floor busting house beats. Djs like Lawler, Sasha, or Calderone have the abilities to move any crowd, imo, with the kind of edm diversity to their sets that even tranceheads can/should appreciate.

Posted by zeKsg on Sep-07-2007 02:54:

By epic trance breaks do you mean when theres no beat and people just raise their hands and then theres a buildup etc... (sorry new to the lingo)

Posted by Spin Laden on Sep-07-2007 02:57:

correct .. like the Pentacostal scene in Borat

Posted by zeKsg on Sep-07-2007 02:59:

I guess for me this was the first rave that I went to, of this size and I am only into trance maybe starting 3-4 month ago, thats why I am so addicted to it:P

NO, fuck no, never eveveveverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...for me anyway...

ive never liked trance , it was not the genre that got me into this scene, i have never, do not presently nor will i EVER enjoy trance music (aka jesus/ressurection/slit my wrists for the synths music)

so speak for urself and tell me which cracker househeads u know cuz they aren't real househeads bro, sorry...

Posted by Spin Laden on Sep-08-2007 22:37:

^^ok, hip hop.

that NYE lineup is disgusting, almost like they've been read our posts. The only way they can blow that is by slotting trance last (or hiphop ).

Posted by DJ Eterno on Sep-08-2007 23:05:

omg. with this line up i dont think any of us would make it home alive.

Posted by 84th Ave. on Sep-08-2007 23:07:

Dj Stephane Grondin
Dj Vibe
Dj Steve Lawler
Dj Creator

...would be a great lineup, dont think its going to happen, too many locals, but if it did, would be f'n crazy....

Posted by Spin Laden on Sep-08-2007 23:16:

Raw bj also mentioned

Markus Schulz
Ferry Corsten
Gabriel & Dresden

almost as good as Cream 04

I would slot it like this:
Schulz
Corsten to ring in the NY
Grondin
Vibe
Lawler
Creator

(drop G&D)

Grondin usually gets a crappy set times from these guys so I could see them doing:
Grondin
Creator
Vibe
Lawler
G&D
Corsten
Schulz

all speculation at this point..

Posted by Marcus007 on Sep-09-2007 00:31:

i got a feeling creator is playing

SPECULATE!!!!

probably is. A few of you know him personally, and I didn't see Stereohead freak out over that Lawler and Creator post, so...

I hope he drops stuff that scares the shit out of those cracked out 18 year old glowstickers from TO/Laval/Ottawa

I don't post much on here but I read your posts every other day and I see that most of you guys bitch about trance like you know something!!!! It's a Fu**ing opinion, you say it like it's a fact. I love trance, house and tech. What makes a great party is the crowd, the dj and the interraction between both so it's hard to say if a party's going to be good until you attend. Grow up!!!

wise words, from a guy who parties more often than many of you

Posted by Spin Laden on Sep-10-2007 00:37:

so what you're saying Malek, is that his brains are more fried than ours even?

Posted by ravemeister on Sep-10-2007 01:28:

thanks malek, you know!!

I get messed up like many others, but I don't go there for that, I listen to Electroniuc music more than 90% of you, because I like it (it keeps me relaxed and sane). I have a club in my basement not because I'm a drug addict but because I love to dance and have fun with friends and people I don't know. You just have no clue, I'm so addicted to music that I have to have it 24/7.

Posted by ravemeister on Sep-10-2007 02:34:

Dissing whatever genre makes for this forums a somewhat negative environment, does not make ME want to post or contribute in any kind of way. That's all I'M saying.

It's entertaining just like reading a bunch of tabloids about Britney or Lindsay.

Kinda lame.

I'll still check it out, but it's getting old.
