Had a REALLY good time last night. I haven't been to Guv in a while, and it still feels like home to me.
First off, what is with the Loblaws parking lot charging $20 to park now? Back when everyone was parking at LCBO, it was like $10. And now they ticket in LCBO and suddenly their rates double. HMMMMMMM. Whatever, I parked for free in a parking lot just down the street.
After getting inside, chilled in KH for a while, and listened to Ferry. Overall, Ferry didn't impress me (although he never really did in the past either). Wasn't able to get into the Trance at all this night. There were definitely some good moments, and some good tracks dropped, but I felt like there was too much downtime between the tracks. He was letting the tracks play out too long, which is where he would lose my interest. I just can't enjoy dancing to the (kick-highhat-kick-highhat) for very long. But I guess he was just stretching it out cause he was there for 8 hours. Probably a 6/10 for me.
Anyway, after Ferry it was time for Carl Cox. Mainroom was, of course, retardedly packed anywhere close to the DJ booth, so I had to settle being by the back speakers. Sound there was great, there was some space, it was nice and cool, and Cox was banging it out. Although I don't remember anything from the Guv9yr, I think I liked that set more than this one. I liked Cox when he would throw down those bass-heavy Techno tunes, but then he'd slow it down with like Housey type of stuff and totally lose me. Overall, still had an awesome time with him though. 8/10 Oh, and haha, Guv was like going crazy with those cannons! It wasn't even that hot, but they were blasting that shit A LOT. Not that I minded though. Also, I think I noticed that they use the lasers less than they used to.
Saw Scumfrog in the Orange Room. One word: MENTAL. I originally only wanted to stay for like 30 minutes, but the man would just not let down with the tunage he was dropping. Awesome stuff from him. I can't decide if i enjoyed myself more with Carl or Scumfrog. Although I think Scumfrog takes the cake because he was much more consistently BANGING. He got sloppy with a couple of the mixes though, which kinda surprised me to hear, really. I don't know why, but I didn't really like the vibe in Orange Room. I think he would have been better in The Drink.
Listened to a nice chunk of Tommie Sunshine as well. He would play really eclectic, but good tunes. Can't even say if it was House or Breaks or what it was, but it was nice and edgy and hard-hitting. His mixing was a little... creative though. Sometimes I remember thinking, "WTF is this guy doing?", but then he'd finish the mix, drop the bass, and it would be good times again. Surprisingly, The Drink was really fucking empty by that time.
And on that note, THANK GOD for Circa. This was one of the rare times where the Guv complex wasn't packed to the tits (mainroom being the exception as it was packed in there still), and it was such a pleasure to be able to have the space to move. KH was PERFECT.
Didn't really get to hang out with you guys at all during the night (except Barbina, who it seems I saw everywhere ). I guess you were all front and centre, and it was a little too crowded there for me. Although I was surprised to find that no TAs were in the other rooms - everyone seemed to either be in mainroom, or KH.

Haven't been to Guvy in a long time and really don't like the place much but I am SOOOOOOOOO GLAD I went last night!
I as well will agree that every dj I heard last night was on top of their game!!!
Carl and Loco are the best duo ever put together! Their frist time together and they sounded like they were soooooo meant to be and like it was obvious this should happen again!
Loco played an incredible set...really weird and dark...but Carl took over with some amazing techno! omg! and by the way, I have to rub this is but "How many ppl get to say they partied with Carl COx?"...lol not many...I had a chance to watch the master at work and was in complete heaven while up there dancing with him! Ahhh I love COX!
WTF was up with Steve Aoki (I think that's his name)in the orange room...that was just plain fkn disgusting! eww!!! Even the sound techies were trying to take the bottle of vodka away from him so he wouldn't drop it on anybody! Dumbass!
Finally got to hear MSTRKRFT...thought they were shit most of the tracks I heard...
The best set of the day tho definitely goes to Anthony Attalla!!!
AA, you were on at the same time as Carl was and I did not leave that Gallery for one second to go see the King! That says a lot!
You know what you made me go through and everyone else in that room! Just incredible- by far the best I heard u play EVER! Thanks again for a wonderful night!! 
p.s. That smoke in the main room is out of this world!!! When they turned it on you couldn't see anything around you!

Had to make it out for the anniversary as it also marks my 1 year anniversary of going to guvernment as well! (went last year for guv 10 year with my bud only - didnt even know TA existed or anything and that was my best party of all time still to this date!! - SVD BABY)
Got in at 11:30 and it wasn't nearly as busy as I thought it would be. Roaches put on a good opening set, enjoyed getting to listen to their new style since I missed them at the zone last weekend for their 6 hour marathon set! Some good minimal techno going, bit of tech house too.
Did a quick tour of the complex to check out the other rooms - Deadmau5 was putting on a good show - looooove hearing his productions live!! FAXING BERLIN fuckkkkkkk
Loco dice came on for some minimal madnesssssss, I've never got to hear minimal/tech house live yet and had to say the melodics/layers to the music is a blissful mindfuck at times and definately gets your body moving in ways you didnt think were possible! He definately inmpressed me and got me even more hooked into the evil world of minimal
Coxxxxxxxx time! Haven't had a techno fix in a while and was getting really really excited when a few of my friends told me I was in for a special treat! He not only puts on banging tracks but he's so into it up there, fucking jokes watching him groove to the music as he switches tracks or takes a min break LOL. Love the commentary too, always gets the crowd hyped up even more.
At around 3:30 a few of us went to check out tommie sunshine in the drink as I've always wanted to here this man out. Seriously - opening the doors to the drink was like opening a door into a different fucking universe....twisted, grimey, hard poudning electroy-breaks is the only way i can desribe the sounds coming out of those speakers! If you weren't ripping up the fucking floor you'd be standing there being mindfucked by the tweaked tunes - he's just one of those unique dj's that can only pull off that sort of thing....pure insanity in that room and I loved every second in it. I actually have to give him the set of the night award as it was just THAT GOOD.
Loco dice vs cox was good, definately awesome seeing them back 2 back as that shit doesnt happen often.
Overall I had a blast, especially after being rammed by prydz the night before I didnt think I could do an all nighter again but what the fuck - dancing > sleeping right????
9/10 for me, definately going in the books as one of my fave parties!!
