A big at them advertising it now as "the most popular DJ in the world".

it really doesnt matter if say for example eddie halliwell is a better mixer/dj than armin .. end of the day like any other profession the focus is on money and if armin can attract bigger crowds than eddie can, he clearly is number 1.. maybe not in the minds of people who understand the technical attributes that make a dj but try arguing with a majority who really dont know how well he is mixing ...its like comparing an independent film to a blockbuster Cameron movie

u actually think james zabiela in concert would be a bigger sellout than tiesto or armin in concert?? ofcourse not ... now stop cribbing that your favorite dj didnt make the top 10 and what a joke this list is.. atleast you have more dancing space in the club when he/she is spinning ..

The dj mag is a fuckin joke. The only people who vote in this kind of polls are people who live either deep in North American south (red states) who only listen to cheesy trance, or the stupid meat-head scene of londoners.

Oh and by the way I've never heard of Ass-shit, um, i meant Ashtrix.

Ask people like Ricardo Villalobos or Matthew Dear about Dj Mag's top 100 and they will laugh their asses off. Why? because they don't need a stupid mag to pack the Panorama Bar or the Robert Johnson. The only people who benefit from this poll are trance-crackers like Christopher Lawrence, who sucks IMHO and needs this to sell his image and actually make a living.

61. Danny Howells

.... lol

There should be a rule that you have to be able to name at least five dj's before you can vote.

Posted by TranceArmstrong on Oct-24-2007 03:07:

judging by this list, samim will be top twenty in next year's poll

Posted by thoughtlessjex on Oct-24-2007 03:37:

If it's fake, it's worth about as much as the real results.

where the hell is sean tyas?

Posted by Dj EntycE on Oct-24-2007 03:43:

This list is obviously fake, DJ Sammy's not in it.

And like Bennasi before him, once again it proves that it doesn't matter how good of a DJ you are -or even if anyone's heard of you before- just make that one ultra-hit single, and you're set.

To comments which claim DJ Mag is a joke:

I don't know how much you are informed on this subject, but the point of DJ Mag and its rising credibility is seen amongst the promoters, because of the poll report (votes - different people, different IP addresses) they provide to promoters. Therefore, if there is rising number of regular votes, the credibility of DJ Mag amongst promoters will go up too. Promoters search for the DJ lineup which will fill their dancefloor. DJ Mag is probably a poll which provide them most accurate information.

Polls (online or offline), regardless of the people who vote, will never reflect talent or quality of a dj or a producer. The talent/quality is a quite relative perception, and it depends on millions of factors. Even if the talent/quality was absolute value, not everyone will be in situation to get to know all those who share those values - all those dj's and producers. Even famous and wannabe DJ's know nothing about majority of other DJ's who participate in DJ Mag Top 100 Poll. Put it simply like this - even if talent/quality was absolute value there wouldn't be a man who would qualify for accurate judgment.

Another issue I can see here being rised in some posts is that this is not a DJ Poll, but rather Producer poll. You are not very far from the truth, but again, this does not make a difference for promoters.

When did he get reinstated. According to his Myspace he was cleared, but no mention of reinstated

& if u can't spell the name of the DJ correctly.. paul van dyke is my fave <3, then you should get the vote dq'd

or maybe they should do a drop down box like TA.

So now we have two threads with 2 different poll results, DJ's (producers) moving up or down, and we still argue about the same shit.
Let it go.

She's been so busy doing blow and stumbling around drunk the past few years it seems we've all just plum lost track of her.

Time to start checking "Lost & Found" bins and landfills the world over.

He was probably one of the DJs disqualified for cheating.

Looks pretty consistent with the TA results if you look at it in terms of relative ranking compared to the prior year

Most that went up on TA also went up on DJ Mag - with a few exceptions - ex: I'm surprised Blank & Jones went down on TA but up on DJ Mag
