exactly. if i either say i know them from tranceaddict or facebook.
i dont think i have very many friends that i first started talking to on the internet.

I'd say that if you really ever find yourself in the position of (a) having "met" all of your friends online, and (b) having to explain this to someone else, then perhaps you need to get out more.

Of course I have some friends that I met online, and in those cases, yes, I just say I met them online. It does confuse some people, because there are still some people who think that The Internet looks like this:



Nevertheless - come on. Yes, my parents thought it was bizarre and creepy 5 years ago. Now they've had plenty of time to get used to the idea and have read about 8 million newspaper articles and seen 25 billion TV shows about different groups of people that met on the internet. Come on folks, it's 2007, and we're getting very close to '08. Online chat has been around for over a decade and a half; this isn't a new idea anymore.
