You complainers complain too much! If the so-cal washing machines bother you, then move to another spot. They have as much right if not more (they problably paid alot more to get in, when you probably got a discount or comp) to be in the club and do whatever kind of dance it is they're into just like any other person. Another thing is, I don't see many of those complaining actually dancing. I wouldn't consider be-bopping your head and standing in the same spot dancing. If they want to be all zoned out well that's their deal. They probably had a rough work week and just want to let lose or whatever.

You complainers will always find something to complain about! hahaha..

I'm surprised no one has complained about the toilet paper not being cotton soft for your whiney @sses!

I dance...I dance a LOT. And I STILL hate the washing machine!

Just because that's all that's left at Circus doesn't mean that you have to defend them, Trin. The place is closing in a few more weeks!

Now; People who hog up the only available space near speakers in dark corners, forcing the rest of us out on to the dance floor to mix with the washing machines...THOSE people have to GO!!

I'm not defending anybody. I'm just saying you & others always find something to complain about. Oh and they are dancing! They're either dancing the sway or the hokey pokey!

I am too are ashamed to see these mofos roll in clubs like that... they have definitely put a bad image to all of us asians... perfect example of what's going on here...

by the way... "into the music, enjoying the music" and terms that justifies one's reason to be in a club to have more right than others that "dont enjoy the music" is such a FUCKING CLICHE'....

we're all out to have fun, and so do they... ultimately it's all about having fun....

they arent really complaining that they are dancing like that (i think), it is more that they push people and just shove themselves wherever they damn please, and that is rude and annoying. if people danced like that at a hip hop club and just kept bumping people they would be kicked out im sure.

I will say this about the washing machines though;

I wish to the powers that be that I could get THAT high. Just once! I wouldn't want to do the washing machine, but damn; I'd sure like to know what the ultimate high feels like...because they look like they're always having it.

Maybe it's genetics? The way American Indians get more drunk on Alcohol than Caucasians? So they get more out of it as a result?

Haha, maybe it is genetic. My GF is taiwanese and she can get rolling off of one shitty pill while my friends and I have to take like 3 or 4 to feel anything.

Over the past 5 years or so... Ive seen these "washers" at all the events. Like Trin said.... if you dont like them, move some where else on the floor. I actually think they are entertaining to watch.....lol

I've been bumped a few times, but I usually so damm happy to be out seeing my favorite Djs.... I really dont mind them.

If the music is going off... nothing should matter. The people that "usually" complain, are those who are not die hard electronica listeners. When Im at the club, I just take the night for a ride and try not to trip off of anything.

That why I like going alone... once a friend has a problem, it f#cks up your whole night.... and the sad thing about it is.... I was that kind of friend...lol.

Okay, that only happen at one event....

They do. Or, at least, the clubs that check you at all do. Weed's a lot harder to get inside than pills because it's bulky, fragile, and has a strong smell. 1015 has confiscated at least a full 8th of weed from people I know in the last calendar year, and I've been molested by bouncers looking for the stuff.

I'm not out with the goal of achieving some inviolable personal 3ft radius bubble on the dance floor. I do like some room to move around, and I think that to some reasonable extent people who are not dancing should make dancefloor space for people who are. I dance a LOT when I go out, sometimes I'm on drugs too, and I probably do occupy a bit more floor real estate than the average person whose head is moving but feet aren't (which is how it should be). But I do this while being respectful, so as long as you aren't confusing Washers with People Who Like To Dance, I can generally agree with this thread.

Now, about washers, I think people who are being blatantly disrespectful inside the club should be thrown out, and I don't care what race they are or drugs they are on. Bad behavior is bad behavior. SF seems to do a pretty good job of policing itself, and lots of people seem to be out for the party rather than out for their own personal good time at the expense of others. Washer Incidents do happen, but they're comparitively rare. 1015 is the worst by far in my limited experience, where it seems rude people congregate in much higher numbers than anywhere else I've been in the city, but even still it's not really a problem and 1015 does a good job of handling things.

As to the racism thing: it's not racist to say that out of the 5 times that I can remember being accidentally burned by someone else's cigarette, 4 of the cigarette holders were Asian and the other was Mexican. It's a fact, and it's also a fact that the vast majority if not all Washers are Asian. It's only racist if you make the conclusion that all Asians are washers or some malarkey like that, and I don't think that's anyone's conclusion here. I'd be willing to give the benefit of the doubt to anyone in this thread that a "all asians = washers" comment is 1) your own bullshit interpretation when something else was clearly meant or 2) an innocent slip and not a racist jab.
