Like I said earlier, most people who are looking to spend this much on a music player do their research. I'm not one to throw away 300+ dollars when I see a better option for myself and my needs out there. If I felt that there was something better for my out there, I would have gone with that, but what I found was that I don't need much so I went with the most appealing simple player on the market. Coming back with the comment of price and belittling someone because of their choice in product is immature. Grow up and sort your points out before you come and attack someone.

i am not a fan of apple or the God forsaken m4p, but i do like my ipod! and no i don't flaunt it around... what's the point? haha

however, i refuse to fall into the trap of buying ipod after ipod... i have a nano, but it's not the nano video. ahh, apple must be rolling in the money and laughing due to their planned obsolescence in the products and releasing version after version of ipods.

US people tent to like Ipod more since this is prolly the first time they designed something that looked arite comparing to the Japan elec stuff.

I say if you're going to buy a product worth a few hundred without doing any research, you deserve to get ripped off.

i like those little clip on ipods. i dont know what they're called, but i'd probably buy one of them if my random chinatown player died.

Don't have one myself got a Toshiba but:

1. That is kinda inherent to any digital design though.
2. LOL
3. Diy a usb charger outta 4xAA batteries to the black and red wires(put the + to here). Think it's 4 you need can't remember made one for a mate tho (basically about 10xs the battery power and replaceable - good for holidays and stuff).
4. Thats cos it's the "classic" which is in fact different to the original and all other ipod in that it uses cheaper parts, like the DAC is way shitter.

2# It does indeed, was thinking of making them and selling them on ebay actually lol.

3# Hmm well I know the new classic had some stuff cut back like the DAC. Apparently people complained about them. Actually could be related to the volume problem. Because the DAC drives the headphones (probably indirectly). As in the classic has a different DAC to the entire rest of the line.

Also the nano is pretty recent so wouldn't think there will have been new regs applied since it came out.
