This is a matchup where no matter who wins, the planet cries...

Having said that I'm going to pain myself and root for Milan

as long as arsenal get certain players back, like sagna, adebayor, and flamini, they should have a strong enough side to win. Also if Justin hoyte doesn't play, he is not good enough to be in a top team like arsenal.

Posted by trunks1022 on Feb-19-2008 22:13:

once things unravel, they play dirty. hopefully we get to see that side of arsenal tomorrow

Posted by The Vza on Feb-20-2008 06:47:

I told ya'll that liverpool would get nasty. even though they lost in the FA cup. they still brought the fire against a 10 man inter side. It took em long enough, but those last 10 minutes were worth watching the whole game in my opinion.

hopefully the Gunners get loose tomorrow. Kaka is gonna play like shit...

not a good day for arsenal fans...

first eduardo broke his leg from a challenge from martin taylor of birmingham city. Warning: Not safe for people with weak stomachs

then after leading 2-1, Clichy gives up a brainfart penalty at the very end and Birmingham get a 2-2 draw

yeah..i saw those photos in the sports forum.

Really should have been a yellow card. It was just a freak accident from that tackle.

Posted by Ali Mahmud on Feb-26-2008 04:04:

That is one disgusting injury, Definitely a red. I hope he recovers, because he's got some potential to be a really good player, for club and country. Lucky for Arsenal Van persie should be right around the corner to return.

He got a red only because of the end result. Had Eduardo not suffered that fate, it would have been only a yellow. Taylor wasn't looking to injure Eduardo. He was clearly going after the ball, missed and unfortunately for Eduardo, his leg happened to be at that spot. It was just a freak accident coming from a really clumsy tackle. I had to change my opinion after seeing a replay of that whole incident (and barely being able to stomach it).

Yeah I agree... Although it was a horrible injury, any other circumstances would have gotten him a yellow.

Posted by Ali Mahmud on Feb-26-2008 17:44:

Most likely it would have been a yellow if he didn't get injured, but he completely missed the ball and his studs were showing.

Posted by steven-neil on Feb-26-2008 17:50:

Has anybody got any news on how the guy is doing?

Posted by Ali Mahmud on Feb-26-2008 17:57:

According to arsenal's site, he will be in a cast, and than in 6 months he should be running again, after 9 months he shoule be able to return. I think he will recover from this injury, and it won't force him to retire.

Posted by *ian* on Feb-26-2008 18:23:

i doubt he will be able to play to the ability he was used to when he returns from injury he will always be cautious frim now on.

shame really as he was a cracking footballer and beginning to settle well.

Posted by trunks1022 on Feb-26-2008 21:00:

henrik larsson was able to come back and play very well after a similar horrific injury.

Posted by verndogs on Mar-01-2008 17:04:

lol...hooray for Arsenal for dropping points!

Would have been nicer if Arsenal didn't get that last goal at the very end

Arsenal, Milan part 2, If arsenal score first, that should be enough, Arsenal have a good record on italian soil. Van persie is back on the bench tonight, maybe he will come on in the 80th min.

Posted by steven-neil on Mar-04-2008 20:02:

Come on you Gunners..

Posted by Ali Mahmud on Mar-04-2008 21:41:

Milan 0 - 2 Arsenal

Arsenal, Arsenal, Arsenal.
