lol I love the hint-dropping amongst TA couples in here!

The 14th is also my cousin's birthday and I always blow her off for v-day so this year we're gonna do her birthday stuff with her instead. So nothing I guess?

We are going on holidays for a week after though, but that's mostly just cuz I hate the fuckin winter.

PS Valentine's day rly IS bs, thats why no gift from me..din-din is enuff.
Agree that u shouldnt need a bogus day to do something nice for ur partner

that's what i usually do. much rather make or do something special. i hate buying gifts for valentine's day. only times i've done it was when my gf was out of town.

^5! Honestly it's true though. Sometimes I dread Vday because I think of it as _the_ day I have to blow money on something when I think it's much nicer when it's an out of the blue type thing. No element of surprise for Vday, bleh.

5 years in December. And yes, its always been a romantic tradition. It's always been trading gifts or flowers plus dinner at a nice restaurant so we dress up and all that (altho I put a twist on that last year and surprised the HELL outta him AFTER dinner haha -- but thats another story for another time ).

This yr its just dinner cuz even i dont see the point of overpriced flowers for such an occasion. However, we are going to San Diego for my bday in March so somehow i don't mind

5 years. And 3 years (I think) actually celebrating it. It's kinda like anniversaries. At first we were all excited about it and now we barely even remember it in time

p.s. inb4theimageremoval? lol

Heh yeah exactly. God, I think we stopped celebrating after 3 years...mind you, we've been together since high school, so all the celebrating and gift giving became even gayer because of that. To us it just seems childish.

Like someone else said (I think it was Skipper), we do stuff throughout the year anyways. We go out for dinner at least once a month and do thoughtful things for each other all the time.

I dunno, it's just stuff you genuinely have the desire to do for someone you care about. You can't really fake or force those kind of gestures...well you can, but yeah it's not the same.

Almost 4 years and yes, I think we have. It's always something small like a nice dinner or a small trip away - which we do quite a few times during the year anyways.

Someone recommend me a NICE lingerie shop in Montreal, I'd like to do some shoppin while I'm there.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Feb-06-2008 02:45:

A trip would be sweet. Something my bf and I have never done!
