Yuris gets very, very bored from time to time and then decides to go on the internet to fuck around with people. It's not worth your time to argue as it will only encourage him. Skillset. I have a lot of advanced military training - force protection school is what got me sent to egypt. Sniper / Onserver and SRT got me here, one of my jobs is to train the Iraqi police swat teams and Iraqi army ranger teams.

That and broad spectrum combat operations - patrols, air assault ops etc.

You're calling someone that's been facing combat a pussy and acting like it's something new to our generation. If you looked in a book you'd find that post tramatic stress disorder is nothing new, it's well documented. Even my toughest friends that are in the military, get worn down at times by everything thats going on. You need to show some sympathy for these people and what they're going through.

I really don't see how this thread was any different from Wiener talking about her absolutely horrible situation - yet no one is saying "You got married, you did this to yourself!" to her.

Yet some of you seem to think that someone who gets frustrated in whatever profession (or really, whatever choice) they choose they don't have a right to air those frustrations because "they choose their path."

Wiener gets sympathy because people here like her. I don't like her because she got married and had a kid - in fact, I detest most people like this. I like her and am more inclined to feel for her because she appears to be a very generous person, a kind mother and a humourous person on these boards. Nobody is chiming in for her situation to say she 'got what she deserved' or something because people here like her; conversely, people in this thread seem to be of mind that this is just soooo much worse because it happened to a soldier. It's a shit situation, but people's automatic sympathy is either programmed from some sort of feigned patriotism or the fact that they can relate it to a similar situation occurring to someone else whom they know - nothing particular in SteelWolf's case, as he is, uh... who is he again?

Shit situation. But your profession doesn't make it better or somehow worse, and auto-respect response is utter bullshit. And I know "m8s" like yourself don't automatically have respect for everyone who comes on here, unless you'd like to claim that you now do?

The difference here is that Wiener isn't half-way across the world in some faraway land getting shot at when she got the bad news.

It sucks that you're feeling run-down while in country, but it happens. It sucks that you broke your fingers, but it happens and it could have been a whole lot worse, as I'm sure you know all too well.

That your ex decided to split while you're in that position is terrible, and reflects badly on her.

But please, until you're risking your life every day just by waking up, leave your negative opinions at the door. Show some basic compassion, at the very least you owe him that much. This is not open for debate.
