I don't like his songs, plain and simple. I buy his CD's sometimes because I like the songs he puts on there by other artists, but I have yet to hear a song actually produced by the man that I enjoy. I'll admit though, most of my anger towards him stems from his retarded-ass fans rather than he himself.

I will third that argument regarding James Z.
The fact is while he may have more talent than tiesto this is not what most care about.
He plays boring as fuck music. Point blank. I can care less how good his mixing skills are or what tracks he plays. His sets just dont cut it for most.
Peope want excitment, emotion and energy in the music.
Ishkur: You put so much effort into detailing the music to death i swear you have forgot what the point of music is in the first place. Have you ever even go out to show of a artist you do like and enjoy it? Do you go out at all?
You waste so much time on this bullshit and i hope that the couple of converts you get makes you happy. Because theres probably thousdands of new fans every day that get into armin, tiesto, etc
I would like to see some articles of you actually praising and speaking good things of some artists.
Music is preference. People do not like change either. I still cant belive after all these years you are still arguing the same non sense you were doing 5-7 years ago. Really ishkur, do you think you have achieved anything at all? Because NOTHING has changed buddy. Instead of paul oakenfold up there its tiesto and armin right now. Years down the road there will be someone else who might even surpass them and you will be a old man complaining about the new stadium style of trance!!

James used to play really good music, not quite sure what happened. He used to play interesting breaks and quirky tech house, had quite a sound for himself almost...now...not so much.

...and you know what else, ive sat and talked with james and so has plenty of other people. he will sit there and bullshit with you and appreciate the fact you came and saw him. try that with tiesto. that mother ****** acts like his shit dont stink.

Here's my story on why I dislike Tiesto so much.
It was late 2005, I can't remember the exact month. It was at Premier, a large venue in downtown Seattle. I was hesitant to even go because I don't care for him as a DJ, his tempo and track selection being too slow for my tastes.
Anyways, about an hour into his set, I see him reach down and pull something from a bag. It appears to be a large poster and as he starts to unroll it, I realize that is exactly what it is. So I'm thinking ok cool, wonder what this is all about. He un-rolls the poster, at least a 6 foot wide poster, and to my disbelief, it is a giant poster of himself.
As if this wasn't bad enough, I thought ok, well maybe he is gonna throw it into the crowd or something. What does he do?? He simply rolls back up the poster and puts it away, back into his bag.
It was at that point I was sickened and my friends and I left. I cannot stand self-absorbed, arrogant people. To me, what he did there on stage told me everything I ever needed to know about his character and what he finds important. I do realize I may be reaching and making a big deal of something many may find trivial, but all this poster bullshit aside, I simply don't like his music or his style. As I was saying earlier, its just not energetic and driving enough.
